..... after the town shut down for the night. Unlike Coruscant, restless like the universe, there were places even on Corellia that slept. Even in such sleepy circumstances, there was restlessness. Always something lurking about, looking for prey...looking for fun.

The day, for Phoenix Mars Whyte, had begun with suggestive orders in such a direction. And like the proper young apprentice he was, it was taken quite to heart to do his master's bidding. so off he had went, to fetch breakfast, and complete the day's routine of toning, training and personal studies. As the sun set, a hunger set in for something different than the belly-rumbling which had awoken him bright and early.

So the young sith apprentice set out from the Palace in search of a opponent to satisfy this predatory hunger. To do this, he headed in to town, some hours after the shops closed, and the clubs were near closing time. There were people about, but none of them worthy prey. Not from what he could see....

But I know there is something out there, on the lookout. I can feel it. Come to me, unknowing finch.

"Got a light?"

A low slur regarded Phoenix as he passed. Behind the voice stood a languid man, not much over six feet in height, with a fresh cigarette hanging lazily from his jaw.

6'5" in height, Mars whipped around, and scrutinized the man.

A light? He noted the cancer stick in Grev's mouth.

"Hmm..." With a small thought, Phoenix caused the cigarette to light, and rubbed the top of his dark-haired head.

"Wow."

Grev couldn't help but roll his eyes.

"Slow night," he inhaled, "Wouldn't you say?"

Slow enough. The lack of drunken fights outside is appaling.

Mars smirked, and adjusted the overly long katana strapped to his back.

"Yes. Indeed."

He continued to watch the man. "What brings you out into the night?"

"Same old, same old."

Grev replied as a torrent of smoke trailed his voice. He took a moment to survey the area before letting his stare settle back on the Sith before him; he eyed the katana. The kid was full of himself.

"You?"

"Out for a walk."

Hardly. Any hunter could smell his intentions, steaming off of him like a crazy kettle. As for being full of himself...

...Well, it was beleive he had surpassed that unhelpful trait long ago. The 'kid' knew what he was doing.

Mars crossed his arms, and closed his eyes briefly. "What's it to ya?" Now that phrase, that voice, was definetly out of place. Phoenix's voice was usually very controlled, his language usually very proper. It was as if he was relaxing.

"Aren't you the cordial one?"

Though there was an obvious sarcasm in his words, his voice hadn't altered from its sapless tone. He shovelled his hands into his pockets and bid the Sith a nod, as if announcing his departure. If a fight was what he sought, surely he would follow.
