Wow this weekend had a bigger opener than the last couple of weekends of the summer. I guess it must be the Resident Evil following, it made 9.2 for Friday should do like 23-25 million for the weekend, that is big weekend for September.

Resident Evil sure gets a good opening. But its no big surprise its going to make more than 20M this weekend. Remember, the first one made a 17.7 opening, and this one has been highly anticipated with some decent marketing in form of teasers and trailers. I for one look forward to see it, its in the top 10 or maybe even top 5 of summer movies I have yet to see, but plan to watch.

At BOM theire actually shocked it did not make more. I started my first derby over there this weekend, and expect to do pretty good :)
