Interesting article - this was always one of the little things I loved about SW, how there isn't any opening credits - you're just launched right into the movie.

Nice Article. I for one hate the opening credits, especially in the theatre. Your all settled in, have to sit through all the Trailers, then the movie finally starts and you've got another 2-3 minutes of dead time before it gets into it.

what I find bizarre is the unions tellign em how and where to place names in credits. Isnt that why Lucas refuses to rejoin the Directors guild?

I think so. I don't care for Opening credits I do like seeing the title of the movie but we can just show that, then hop into the story.
