anyway, yeah want service pack 2? I guess this is the right place to put this, I didn't know how you guys would feel about me posting it in the normal acses area. A friend of mine on the rx7.com forum posted it, he participated in the beta and got the full release first. It's like 227mb, but yeah, this is real so here you go.

if that doesn't work for some reason here's the thread for the link.

The average user may want to read up a bit on it before applying it.

The install takes forever but other than that, it's fine. I rather fancy some of the " shinny " new, well old featurse, but they're shinny now!

AND FOR THE LAST TIME WINDOWS I DON"T WANT YOU TO ATOMATICALLY UPDATE!

Highly advised NOT to install SP2. It is known to break several programs and thence, must be viewed with extreme caution.

What do you mean?

Well this morning I already have notification that SP2 will not work with the firewall in Windows Server 2003. If I installed SP2 on the client's PC's they would have no internet access.

Ok, It hasn't done anything to me, anything negative I mean. I'll keep an eye out for something I guess.

I personally prefer to wait some time after the service pack has been released officially. This to allow for bug fixes and see the input of those who allready installed it. If it aint broke, dont fix it.

Mine was broke, lol; or at least annoying. I don't use IE but it was infesed with hijack links. I would run adaware and it would go away only to return in a few hours. SP2 somehow fixed that. I was also having a problem with explorer, when browsing my file explore would hang up. ( stop responding ) SP2 seems to have also gotten rid of this; anyway I got lucky. My application is very orthodox and simple, so ther really isn't a lot to go
"wrong" to begin with.

Well, due to problems I'm having installing video drivers, I was planning on reformatting anyway. So I'm going to give this a shot and see if it fixes my problem. If not, no harm done since I was going to nuke it all anyway.

Well, it fixed my problem. It also broke StyleXP, but there's an update to fix that on their site..

Looks like it screws up quite a few programs:

On the plus side, you can actually uninstall it. It adds an entry to your add/remove programs list.

I will still wait for them to patch it up a bit before I install it
