There are two weather systems off the south east portion of the States, and they're named Bonnie and CHARLEY? HOW could the weather nerds have missed the chance to name them BONNIE AND CLYDE?!!?

:eek :x

This is how busy it's been lately...

I just found out about the hurricanes today when our principal sent an email advising all teachers of bad weather drills because of the two systems approaching Florida.

Damn.. I need to go to the Weather Channel website...

Aye, but Hurricane Mitch had the Caribbean in an iron grip, so said the newspapers.

On the subject of Bonnie and Clyde, since Lil brought it up: For those who live in the western U.S., Bonnie and Clyde's shot-up car is in Whiskey Pete's Casino in Primm, Nevada - right on the CA/NV stateline on the way to Las Vegas. Just FYI.

As for the weather, I thank God we didn't decide to move to the South....particularly Alabama, Georgia or Florida, heh.

Bah, I left FL and where do the hurricanes go?

Yup, North Carolina.. grrrreat.

But as for the weather names, yeah they're a bunch of dopes anyways and a grand portion of the time they are wrong in the guestimates.

the news tag was "800,000 told to flee from Charley's path" and it made me laugh, because I was thinking about Charley Charley, not Charley the Hurricane. :)

Still, Charley the H. sounds like a mean one.

I think it was George Carlin who said we should have a Hurricane Ed. He thinks Ed is more friendly, or something. "Hell no, we ain't evacuatin'. Ed's comin'!"

Of course, seeing how OUR Charley is evil and sadistic, I think the name is good for a hurricane. :)

Well, seems like it won't hit Miami dead on. Unfortunately we'll still get the strong winds and a lot of rain. Also it's been raining almost nonstop all week so dealing with all this extra water is going to suck. I'm going to have to try to find some high ground to park the 7 on.

Batteries.. Check
Propane.. Check
Water... check
Bathtubs filled... check
food... check
money... check
all documents stored... check..

Here's to hoping that a) we don't flood, b)no trees get knocked into our home, c) no tornados hit us (god I hate tornados), d) our power doesn't go out for too long...

I love hurricanes :)

Note the usage of sarcasm...

Wish Florida luck

It shouldn't be to bad for miami; I woke up today to the usual blistering heat. There seems to be a ot of wind. I don't have anykind of supplies, we're only expecting some pretty bad thuderstorms, and I thiink maybe tornados? I duno, I kind of don't care either. I have a big garbage bag which in my worst casr senario,I encase my computer for pertection from water, and or things... such as stray animal parts, and or dander.

Since it changed directions, it seems to be making a beeline towards Ft. Myers and then Orlando. We're bracing for winds from 80 - 100 mph. We're under tornado warnings as well -- they have sighted a few around Orlando.

It's starting to storm now, so it's beginning.

And stray animal parts? ew.

LOL, it happens man... I lived in the same house during andrew. There used to be all these ducks and well... never mind.

Anyway, not a drop of rain down here, but some, might I say, refreshing wind.

It totally missed us. What a gyp, all this hype for nothing. It feels like a SW prequel. Oh well, better for the 7 and my persocom, I guess. Now back to the everyday crap.
