I'm 33!

Not sure if that's good or bad, but considering it's a U.S. made report, it can't be that bad. ;)

Ya know I never knew you were Canadian......it all makes sense now ;)

The only two Vermont cities on the list are #170 something and #330 something.....yay!

Oh well, we've still got the Pats as our team so I'm happy.

I started out at #3, now I'm down a bit at #84. Still in the top 100, though...

17. Baltimore-Washington

Stupid Orioles/Wizards/Redskins/Capitals/Mystics/ bringing us down.

Oh snap, thats where I live.

Where I currently live...#5. I doubt I'd rank Los Angeles that high.

My hometown...#111. We were in the 300's a few years ago, so this is fine by me.

I wouldn't rank Atlanta as high as it is 13 is too high considering it has one of the worst fan bases I have ever seen. The fans around their are terrible. As for my area it like 200 something (being Augusta, GA is the closest town for me)

We're 45 here in Portland.

I hope that's Portland Oregon, not Portland Maine that they're referring to. :uhoh

I think thats a pretty safe bet, the Sea Dogs aren't that good of a team :)

Lollerskates. This list is a joke. Miami should be maaaaybe top 25. Most fair weathered sport area ever. Sure, there are some hardcore Dolphin and Canes fans, but the area as a whole is worthless compared to the northeast (anything) or the south/midwest for football.

I thought the same thing. Miami and Montreal are similar that way. The fans show up when the team is hot, but there's always a smaller die hard fan base that makes a lot of noise. I don't know how both Montreal and Miami were listed so high.

3. New York-Long Island-New Jersey
6. Miami-Fort Lauderdale
14. Tampa-St. Petersburg
Ah, the cities of my youth. But now I'm stuck here. :(

80. Blacksburg, Va.
169. Lynchburg, Va.
319. Salem, Va.

I was stunned to see Roanoke wasn't on the list, but I think it got lumped in with Salem at 319. The Hokies put Blacksburg in the top 100. What Lynchburg is doing on that list is beyond me. That place is dead.

Lacrosse. The college of Lynchburg is a fierce lacrosse program... sorta.

Well it used to have a Minor League team there, it used to be the Red Sox Single A team not sure if there is still a team there or not. Funny with Clemson and Columbia, I am sure there is some mad Gamecock fans :p

Ya know, I think that Lynchburg still has a team, cos the team in Woodbridge, Potomac Cannons, plays Lynchburg in the Carolina A league.

2. Oakland-San Francisco-San Jose.

Not bad. Thought NY would have beat us though.

Yes, Lynchburg still has a team. But they're not as big a sports town as Roanoke. Roanoke has a minor league hockey team (the Roanoke Express), the Roanoke Dazzle (basketball). Salem used to be part of Roanoke and they host a Rockies farm club, the Salem Avalanche. Salem also host a division 2 or 3 championship, I forget which. Basically, I'm just steamed Lynchburg got on there but not Roanoke! :evil

This is ridiculous. How is New York not number 1?

Because the Bostonians are more hardcore about sports than New Yorkers.

Boston is some kind of Mecca of sports insanity. They may be a bunch of commie pinkos up there, but I love them Red Sox, and I've never even seen Fenway :)

The success of the Patriots combined with the absolutely INSANE Red Sox following of both fans and media puts them #1.
