One Pair

Jack needs work. He can't keep lying to Queen and telling her that he has a job, when in fact he's been stealing food for them. He needs to make an honest living, and move her out of the decrepit, abandoned apartment they've found. Not to mention they have to take care of all of Rama's needs, too. The puppy is getting leaner, and is due in for a visit to a veterinarian. Also, the little dog was meant to assist Queen as her seeing eye dog, but lacks a great deal of the necessary training. So much to pay for...any job will do to make a start towards these necessities.
Jack leads Queen by the hand, holding her puppy under his arm to keep him from getting lost as they make their way towards Jack's first stop on the job hunting list: Yog's Bar and Grill. He shoulders in past the guards and a crowd of exiting customers, seating his girlfriend at a booth before approaching the bartender.
"Um...excuse me. I was wondering if you guys were hiring..."
