There's gonna be a third one. These things always happen in threes.

Rest in Peace, Ray. You were among the best ever.

I don't even want to try and guess who's going to be next.

First a much-loved pres, now a much loved music icon....

Oh man - that's a shame... He was, in a word, incredible... I love his version of "America". What a great performer and musician.

RIP - You'll be missed...

Man, this sucks. Ray was an amazing musician, and a great icon to show that people can overcome disabilites. He was always a fun guy, and great to listen to.

He was only 73. For some reason, I thought he was much older. He did a duet with Billy Joel awhile back, My Baby Grand. One of the better songs off of The Bridge. RIP Ray.

One of the smoothest singers ever...yes, his version of America The Beautiful is so wonderful, it gives me chills.

I always loved his music...he will be terribly missed.

Ah man. What a complete and utter loss. Ray Charles had the most amazing talents, and influenced so many of today's musicians... Man.

As a Jazz, Blues, and Soul Lover and Musician This hit me Hard. I have listened to Ray since i was five. As I left yesterday for work I got the call from my drummer. He was among the top 5 of my roll models and mentors. I never had the opportunity to meet the man and tell him what an impact he had in my life and my music. Now I am sure he knows. He was a great man. a great Performer and a great roll model. He will be missed by any man, woman or child who know what it is like to stand in front of a group of people and pry you didn't miss a chord change. He will always have a place in my heart and When I play next it will be for him.
