anybody think any of the new openers will do well? They are all getting bad bad reviews on RT. Garfield has gotten the worse so far, one critic says he rather see Cat in the Hat it is that bad. I think Reviews won't hurt Riddick although it is only playing in 2500 theaters that is low, Garfield I think isn't popular any more, the Stepford Wives I thought would do the best but with the reviews I got to wonder, older movie goers usually look at the reviews. So I think Harry and Shrek will stay 1 and 2.

That isn't bad for Harry Should make 40 million at least for the weekend. Should have a huge increase on Saturday honestly. it will drop 55% I was hoping for 45% but I guess I can live with 55 it is actually better than COS that dropped worse as I recall.

Still it is 10 million over COS had at the same point in time. POA will make 270 at least in the US maybe 280 and will make over 800 WW could make 900. The Harry Potter movies do better overseas way better so the franchise is still doing great.

I seriously doubt it will gross over 250M. It's trajectory has to do some major stabalizing this week for that to happen.

Yeah but it is ahead of COS by 10 million and COS had horrible legs. I think its legs will stabilize honestly it is too good of a movie to have really bad legs. I still say 270 at least.

I have to say I am slightly disapointed in POA's domestic gross, not its international gross, its doing great overseas. I was hoping for 300, now I be glad if it does what COS did. Luckily it is doing amazing overseas it has already made over 200 in just two weeks and still hasn't opened in three of its biggest markets (Spain, South Korea and Japan) I think it wil make 600-700 overseas so it could still out do the COS and make like 900 WW which I would be happy with. It should do 800 WW regardless.

But it's not holding well. It may have a big kickstart, but it's holds are not good. It will not do 800 WW unfortunantly.

I disagree with you I been going to Mojo and I see how well it is doing overseas. It has only dropped hard in three Markets, one was the U.S the other two are Italy (47%) and England (46%) everywhere else it is dropping in the 30% range which is great. It is also well ahead in every market but one, Germany of COS and most ahead of SS. Heck it is going to double what SS did in Mexico maybe even triple it is already like 68% up on it. And it still has 20 countries to go to open. To me 800 is a guarentee not sure about 900 it might need to bigger in Japan since it might stall out around 250 in the US.
