Well, doing some IP lookps drove the server load through the roof, but I have come to the conclusion that once again sirdizzy has sneaked in after his banning, and is now posting using the name "Madmartigan"

Dizzy is smart too, I was curious who the guy was when he first came on and checked him out, I don't have a clue how to tell Ips from one to the other so I didn't look at that, his email was completely different from Dizzy's email so I didn't think it was or at least wasn't sure. After that I never thought about it again.

I'm getting emails from Madmartigan "Patrick" wondering why he can't access the forums, and he sounds semi ligit right now though I have yet to respond.

I don't know his real name at all. Somebody could ask Qui-Gon from CC.net he would know it. Is it possible he is legit?? I know Dizzy is from Utah and this guy has been claiming he was from the Denver region (I rechecked some of his posts)

Yeah, it was definately him. I got this email, to which I did not reply because I found it funny and telling that he sent me an email begging we talk about it more, in what appear to be his hopes of being unbanned, while he says at the same time that getting around the banning is a simle ten minute process for him.
Unless you plan on banning all MSN users blocking my IP address requires me to turn off my dsl modem for 10 minutes to get a new IP address, and since I use such a broad IP like MSN you know and I know it is virtually impossible to stop me from signing up new alias', so why don't you actually have some class and talk to me directly.


I still don't see the point for banning me, and all I am doing is making you stick to your guns by most likely angering you by singing up new screen names.

All I did was without knowing it hit the censor (I did not know about the warnign system, i just thought it censored you and that was that) not thinking it was a big deal then I took umbrage to being treated like a 4 year old for an honest mistake.

At no time have any of you adressed me in an adult manner, and some of my actions have also been childlike but why don't we try a different approach where we actually have a real discussion on the manner, you might be surprised to find me quite reasonable if you actually bother to talk to me.

Unless he is using some kind of proxie or something, how do you do an IP check? I tried the Admin options and it 67.22..5.49 for me. Have no clue if that matches his or not though. This could just be somebody new.

It appears to be a standard ISP addy. It doesn't look like a typical proxy server. And the fact that the Professor made a post in the OOC forum also leads me to think it may not be dizzy. But I'll keep a close eye on the account.

Well he has only made 2 posts It also could be somebody who made another screen name on the board. If he starts talking about the Broncos and talking about Boxoffice a lot then we can figure out it is him.

Well Dizzy has been pming over at CC.net, since I post there somewhat. This is basically what he said

the whole situation with me and the site, is completly and utterly childish. Its childish on my part and its childish on the staffs part.

Instead of having a discussion about the problem at any time, both sides jumped to conclusions and made unfair judgements.

From my point of view I never knew that setting off the swear filter would eventually close a thread, i never received a pm or was told this, but the moments i set it off the staff jumped to the conclusion that i was doing it on purpose, like I was some kind of jackass that would get a kick out of seeing threads closed. Nobody pmed and explained the situation to me, so I got defensive, I thought they were just being assine to me for no reason which got me banned.

Now somewhere along the way, it was decided i could not put my picks in the weekly football thread, which is sheer idiocy, you might as well just say i could not pick the rest of the season. Missing one week is death in something like that and I was in second or third (can't remember exactly), again i was never informed of this decision. So i made my picks, and swfans said i could not make. But he wasn't running the thread Fingrin was, it was like he was persecuting me for no reason. Fingrin never pmed, swfans never pmed or emailed me. So now I am permanetly banned, two strikes and i guess your out.

I have never been communicated with in one iota, everything I got was after the fact and after I blundered again.

I am no saying I am innocent in any way, I have been quite the jackass in reregistering all the time. But i have also emailed staff and been blatanlty ignored. All the problems could have been solved if someone had simply taken the time to communicate with me.

You probably don't care, but I feel i should be allowed to state my case, i get the feeling i will just be ignored again anyways. Its not like i was one of the orignal members of SWvsTitanic, oh wait I was.

I told them it was a staff decision and I had no power to do anything for him I tried to be very nice since he has mod powers over there (I sure don't want to get banned there). I also let him join my Fantasy Football league that I am hosting he asked me if he could and I didn't really care, (I wanted more people) besides I don't think he will cause much of problem, and I was debating of making a post to get other cc.net people involved anyway.
