Sasseeri Reeouurra was feeling a bit on edge. She'd been finding out slowly that there was a new spice runner on Coruscant, and they'd grown fairly large. Without her hearing about it until now. Apparently some, now dead, people had thought it was a good idea to try to take care of this themselves, to prove themselves to her. They'd failed, and now more competant people were being hired to take their places. Her wrath was sudden, and unforgiving. You can't quite take back death.
Sin Vamel, her personal assistant/bodyguard, had already had one run in with the Meat King's lackeys, and she was getting his report about the Lemmen operation. So far it seemed to be far below open competition with Black Sun, but if they continued to encroach on her territory, they'd find out that they had another thing coming. The Vigos' had their differences, but she knew Dan owed her still, and Wednesdaydale hated competition and was bloodthirsty enough to make good on his hate. They at least would unite against the so-called Meat King should it come to that.
As it was, she had a fairly good idea about the cover operation of this "King," and was scheduling a meeting with the Coruscant Watch to discuss some Sector Ranger business that the locals needed to know about. Mainly, organized crime in their backyard. That would excite Vymes to no end.
She just needed to find out for sure where they based their operations from, and some names of their key people. Sasseeri flicked the intercomm, "Send jin Sjin, jI'm rrready to hearrr hjis rrreporrrt."
