View Full Version : Farewell to Friends [Soolin]

She stood near the landing pad to where Soolin's ship was located and sighed. Her heart felt heavy after what happened in the Council Room earlier. Soolin was leaving Coruscant, heading for Yavin probably immediately. They were good friends in the past, but so much time was taking away from the Knight that their friendship suffered. Navaria never had a chance to remedy that, being so busy with her Council duties. Now the Warrior Jedi wasn't going to be a part of her life anymore.

This was her last chance to properly say good-bye. She wasn't going to squander it.

The Jedi passed through the check point and headed towards the ship ...

Soolin hadn't noticed Navaria yet. She was quite focused on preparing for the trip to Yavin. The Knight didn't see Vishan anywhere. Perhaps he was on the ship.

She stopped several meters away from where Soolin was. This felt awkward but it didn't deter Navaria. Besides, the Jedi probably has sensed her anyway.

"Hello, Soolin." Navaria hid her emotions well. It would be difficult to notice anything was bothering her.

"And you too, Soolin." Her eyes drifted at all the work that needed to be done. Perhaps she was looking for an excuse to leave. "I'm not bothering you am I?"

"Not at all. You're just in time to help."

"Oh, is that right?" Navaria kidded, relieved at the same time, and looked around for the first of the supplies she would carry inside.

The Knight noticed the absence of Vishan. Since coming to the landing pad, there was no sign of him. "Not that I mind doing this, but where is that Padawan of yours? This would be good for him too you know."

"He's off on an errand for a friend. Shanaria."

"Oh." She heard about Shanaria getting jumped. Thanks to Soolin and Vishan, the Padawan was saved and so was her side project to help feed the poor beings in the lower levels of Coruscant. "That's good. Any particular place you wanted me start?" There were alot of supplies and it made Navaria's heart sink deeper. Just another reality check that Soolin was indeed leaving.

Navaria smoothed out her robes before sitting down, "Are you sure? I know you were joking, but I really don't mind helping."

"There's time enough to finish this later."

"Ah." She nodded slightly, "Okay." Navaria folded her hands in her lap and grew silent. She tried finding the right words to say, but they sounded so lame in her head and decided to stay quiet.

She tried to start again and failed. This was going to be harder then Navaria had thought. To break the silence and Soolin's confusion, the Jedi said the first thing that came to her. "I do not wish to see you go."

"I know that. There's just quite a bit of distance between here and there. I blame myself for not keeping in touch."
