Its that fun time of the year again.. its summer, popcorn and cheesy action flicks storm the theaters breaking records left and right. Its time for the SWFans.Net Summer Box Office Contest 2004!
This time, we made a points scoring system where even casual players have a chance to win (you dont have to play every weekend, although it helps). We would like as many posters participating as possible. Just make sure to play for minimum 5 weekends during the summer, and you will be competing for your choice of 6 months free Supporter Account (6 month extension if already a supporter) or a @sw-fans.net email address!
The period of contest is 7th of May - 6th of September.
The rules are simple, type the dollar amount (in millions) each movie will make, and we will do the work of calculating your accuracy and points for the weekend. We have selected a list of 10 movies for you, just fill in the numbers:
VAN HELSING $0.0
NEW YORK MINUTE $0.0
MEAN GIRLS $0.0
MAN ON FIRE $0.0
13 GOING ON 30 $0.0
GODSEND $0.0
LAWS OF ATTRACTION $0.0
ENVY $0.0
KILL BILL VOL. 2 $0.0
THE PUNISHER $0.0
The two wide openers are Van Helsing, a big budget special effects vampyre flick expected to be a block buster and New York Minute a teenage comedy with the Olsen Twins. The other movies have allready opened, so it should be easier to guess those.
If you need help or need to learn more about the rules, just let us know in the contest thread, and we will help you out. If you have trouble guessing, just look what the box office veterans predict and post similar numbers. Good luck! :)
