Lightsabers

I'm working on the background of my character...I have two questions.

1. When I write a bio, where should I put it?

2. I remember there was one substance which a lightsaber could not pass through (other than another lightsaber)...but I can't remember what it was called. Anyone? I guess logically, the blade can't cut through the crystal that focuses the beam, either, else the whole thing would fall apart...

1. If you join the Jedi, you can put the bio in the Jedi Biographies forum. If not, you put it somewhere else - storytelling, your own web-server, whatever.

Shall I write a Storytelling thread that will explain a bit about the Saum'riae, Janson's history, and why he's here? I've got a few bits and pieces in mind. There'll be a lot, though...if I start writing, I find it hard to stop.
