View Full Version : General Order 700001

Telan Desaria
Apr 14th, 2004, 04:17:24 PM
I will be launching a general offensive to take advantage of a destabalizing political situation along the border of the Mayagil Sector Fleet. Grand Admiral Desaria will be on scene to aide the operational commander, Vice-Admiral Messhir, in the offensive. The operation will be the brainchild of the general staff, and, over the course of the next several months using very limited resources, will net us several systems in a series of threads.

The name of the offensive and the operations to be therein components are as yet unnamed, but that will change.

The key point is that while the main body of the Imperial Fleet is massed for defensive actions vis-a-vis Rebel reprisals for Bestine, no one will think us capable of making an offensive strike. Thusly, the action will be undertaken with few resources - -moslty light craft, pickets, and cruisers.

The breaking government we will be exploiting will be the Solaarian Confederation. Planets they hold will be Praestylin, Sullust, Maalastare, Bpfassh, and others.

It will be entirely npced as far as the enemies, but I will be creating for myself an archnemesis among the enemy. I invite everyone to watch and join in if they wish. Everything will be illutsrated in the introduction thread that I will begin sometime tonite. I invite thoughts and concerns. With so many of us rping Imperials now, the decision is collective.

Are ypu putting in Travess, or making someone new.

I still want to kill Travess for the humiliation at Hilari...wait you RPed him..does that mean I have to kill you. But thats treason. I'm confused.

Excellent plan. One thing - Sullust is a world with strong Rebel ties, so perhaps a larger force would be needed to take it?

Telan Desaria
Apr 14th, 2004, 06:58:43 PM
I've got that covered, my friend. I have a lot in mind.

Travess will be involved, but only to a point. I was thinking of more a military rival, a fellow gentleman.

I take this group is aligned with the NR, and not a neutral. Because there could be problems if they are neutrals as regards our foreign policy.

Telan Desaria
Apr 19th, 2004, 03:14:55 PM
They are officially neutral but funded and supplied by the NR. Much like China and Vietnam during America's war there.

Tiberius Anar
Apr 20th, 2004, 03:17:56 AM
That is fine then. If they aren't truly neutral then we can do what we like to them. Proceed, Admiral.

The first phase of the assault will be composed of two attacking elements: Task Force Alpha, under Vice Admiral Messhir towards Virmeude, and Task Force Beta under myself towards Clak'dor VII.

if you're going after hole-in-the-wall planets, that's fine.

but, if you plan on going after planets such as Sullust and whatnot, I'd like it if you get with Lion. Also, be ready to lose planets as well - remember what killed the Empire the last time. It got too big for itself. Don't forget that.

Clak'dor VII is NR. I know their senator.

Telan asked Lion, who says the NR have no claim on Sullust.
As for Clak'dor VII, that is a problem.

damn it. This is intollerable. We will divert the fleet for security purposes. Task Force Beat will turn, mid hyperspace jump, for Xagobah.

Just doing my job.

As for losing planets we'll have to think quickly. Lion is talking about bringing in the Senate to authorise a war with us in reteribution for Bestine. I could delay them, but not stop them, using our diplomats.

Teleran Balades
Apr 23rd, 2004, 03:14:14 PM
Yeah, I saw the forum where he metioned that. Is T'lorin still around? A force using ambassador could be useful here, as well as having an alien represent us. The republic still asumes we're strictly anti-alien, it could buy us some time.

Tiberius Anar

I haven't heard from him in over a month. I don't know why.

Telan Desaria

The Sovereignty is not anti-alien. Several of our member worlds have alien populations. We accept all humanoids and even use the Vratix for guard duty on Thyferra.

Tiberius Anar

What I meant was that a lot of people in the NR still believe we are anti-alien.

Anyone else thinking that if you smuggled a bomb into the senate it would slow them down real good..?

If you're volunteering for such a mission, you have the Empire's full support.

Tiberius Anar
Apr 24th, 2004, 02:33:38 PM
I wouldn't recommend it. Such a move would bring down the full might of the NR down on our heads.

and North has a point. What would the Federacy gain by attacking the NR?

Travis North
Apr 25th, 2004, 04:05:14 PM
We blame the Hutts. With the militaries at war the space lanes are being constantly monitored. Thus, the smugglers can't ship their cargos.

It works. It may need more detail but it works.

I like it. You've just been appointed Chairman of the Commission for the Moval of Imperial Blame

Travis North
Apr 27th, 2004, 06:18:22 PM
I remember now.

This station will be used as a staging point for attacks against the NR and be used as the base of operations for the squadron I'm creating. It will also be used as a refueling and resupply depot for the fleet. I also was wondering if it could be placed around Zeltros. And because of it's popularity.... From there we'll promote the Sovereignty and such.

Loklorien s'Ilancy
Apr 27th, 2004, 06:21:35 PM
actually, that's a good idea, I like it.

I vote yes :)

Have this Jacen guy attack it. Then you can splatter his brains all over the nice shiny new station, Travis.

Now to get the time and resources. This station will be built in a series of threads, any of you may participate. I also had another idea. It could also be used for training purposes.

Telan Desaria
Apr 28th, 2004, 05:29:20 PM
Perfect. Tell me about it.

Dimensions? Location? Compliment?

May I suggest Nkllon

Travis North
Apr 28th, 2004, 05:42:37 PM
I figured Zeltros because of it being a pleasure planet which means the trafiic is almost constant. We could get a lot of recruits from a station in that area. But if this causes a hassel it can be placed around Nkllon. But it's deep within Sovereignty space limiting its attack range against the NR.

I'm thinking on the station and its compliment as I type.

Telan Desaria
Apr 28th, 2004, 05:50:26 PM
The choice is yours. If you wish, you could incorporate it IC as becoming acting station commander as the resident wing commander having assumed leadership after the regular officer was killed. Pending a replacement, you were named brevet commander and afterwards maintained command of the station and the fighter compliment.
Just a thought.

Travis North
Apr 28th, 2004, 06:02:29 PM
Hmm. Would mean less actual combat.

I have a feelings this are going to change - one way or another.

Travis North
Apr 29th, 2004, 05:20:19 AM
I agree things are going to change. Although I think the lack of excitement is due to the fact that this would be un-milataristic.

Although I found the specifications for the station. I just can't find them on the web. So anyone who has TIE Fighter on their comp check the tech room and look for class 5 platform. It should be the big one with a large saucer type center. Thats the sation which will be the base with a few of my own modifications.

Telan Desaria
Apr 29th, 2004, 10:04:17 AM
Not at all. I simply suffering from an overloaded neural net. I will return my normal militant self in a day or so.

Ah. The old "Meh lets just attack Coruscant 'cause I'm bored" thing. I've thought about that sometimes.

Anyway I came up with a name for the station a bit dumb but it's all I could think of at the moment. North's Star, what do you think?
