In a nutshell,

I'm looking to purchase my 1st wireless card for a laptop running XP.

Suggestions? or things to look out for?

D-Link is what I've used, never had a problem. Just make sure it supports the latest encryption protocols and the I think it is 801.11 G standard. Shouldnt be any problems with that with the later D-Links

I've heard the D-Link cards are popular among wardrivers. So, that's probably a semi-valuable opinion.
