One Last Thing...(Valora)

[Quay'Na Rakai]

Quay'Na had returned Vista and Valanya to their families. Valora had left the little spider droid back to her mothers ship in the hangar.

That was where Quay was off too. She had one more thing to take care of and then it was off to the Council chambers.

Jax, her ferret was sprawled out over her shoulders, asleep as usual.

The ship Valora's mother owned was a beauty, she walked over to the entrance ramp. "Valora!! Valora!!" She called. "Are you there?"

[Audrie X-4]

Audrie's voice out of the side of the ship near the entrance ramp...

"Greetings Quay'na Rakai. Valora is currently in the central living space. Please feel free to enter. I'll light the way for you."

At this point some small lights on he walls light up, showing the path to where Valora is.

[Quay'Na Rakai]

Quay smiled. "Thank you, Audrie."

She walked to the living area and watched silently for a few minutes, Valora playing with a game on the floor.

The Padawan cleared her throat to get the little girls attention.

[Valora Ashen]

Valora looks up from her game to see Quay...

"Quay!!"

She runs over and hugs her again.

"You change you mind?! You stay?!"

[Quay'Na Rakai]

Quay'Na gave the child a hug. "No, I still must leave, but..." She leaned down towards her. "I've brought you a surprise."

[Valora Ashen]

Valora pouts slightly when she says she still must go, but brightens up when she is told that Quay has a suprise for her.

"Ooo!Oooo! What is it! What is it!"

[Quay'Na Rakai]

Quay gently nudged Jax. "Hey, wake up. Lazy ferret, tell Valora what her surprise is."

Jax yawned and sniffed the air, taking in his surroundings. Hello, miss Valora. We do have a surprise for you! He stood up as Quay put her hand on Valora's shoulder and the ferret lazily made his way to the little girls shoulder.

Once he was safely on Valora's shoulder, Quay let go. "He's yours now, Valora. Will you care for him for me?"

[Valora Ashen]

Valora is defenetly suprised by this. She nods and pets Jax.

"I will! I do best I can, But you come visit Jax an me? Make sure I do good with him?"

[Quay'Na Rakai]

"Of course, I will. Jax likes to play in the gardens and he loves carrots."

[Valora Ashen]

Valora nods...

"Okay! anyting else I need to know bout looking after Jax? "

[Quay'Na Rakai]

Quay smiled down at Valora. "Give him a lot of love, he's a fiesty little one sometimes, but I'm sure he'll behave for you."

Valora pets Jax some more...

"Okay! okay! I do that!..."

Valora pauses for a moment then gets a questioning look on her face...

"other that carrots, what doaes he eat?"

[Quay'Na Rakai]

"Any kind of vegetable really, Valora. I never got him into eating meat, I thought it would make him want to bite."

[Valora Ashen]

"Okay! does he like cooked or no cooked? Or does it matter?"

[Quay'Na Rakai]

"He likes raw the best, I believe." She said with a smile.

[Valora Ashen]

"Okay!"

Valora hugs Quay again not knowing what else to say.

Quay gave her a hug and then stepped back. "Well, kiddo, it's time for me to go. You take good care of yourself and Jax too. I know you will, I have no doubt in my mind."

She gives the ferret one last ear rub and sighs. Quay draws on the Force for strength as she turns and leaves.

[Valora Ashen]

Valora watches as Quay leaves. After she is out of sight Valora looks at Jax...

"We be okay well she gone, Won't we?"

Jax responds by nodding ...

Valora nods and hugs the ferret...
