Investigating (open)

[Tharinye Lerf]

Tharinye leans back in his chair as he rubs his eyes. It's rather late at night, most ppl are usually in bed at this time. But not him. He's determined to bring his youngest sister to justice. Natia. The cold blood killer of their Father. She has to be punished for her crime. And for every other crime she has committed since then. But her movements are difficult to track. Even for him.

His tie is loose and his suit jacket is open. He runs a hand through his hair before looking around the room. It's not much, but it's good enough to work at. A couple of tables with a computer on each. A comfortable chair at each table. Not much, but it's a communal work room.

Yes, he is here to learn the ways of the Jedi, but he still has his responcibilities of being one of his homeworlds special Law Enforcement.

He picks up a datapad which he's been putting info on and looks at it. A list of names of ppl which Natia talks to regularly. Falcon Gyndar, Leten Snat, Faith Lerf. Placing the datapad back on the table, he closes his eyes for a few moments, thinking of what his next course of action should be.

[Leten Snat]

From the hall way a rustling can be hear. When Tharinye looks out into the hall, he can see two sets of lets sticking out of a trash bin, and hear a muffled voice...

"Ah! There! I Got it!"

[Tharinye Lerf]

"Isn't it a bit late for you to be out of bed"

Tharinye says when he sees the legs sticking out of a trash can

"And what exactly where you looking for?"

[Leten Snat]

Leten climbs out of the garbage can holding up a small ring.

"This I saw a notice about one of the students loosing a ring, so I was looking for it, and found it. Now I can get it back to it's owner"

[Tharinye Lerf]

"Ah, Leten, you're one of Natia's friends aren't you?"

Tharinye questions.

"I'm sure whoever lost the ring will be happy to get it back."

[Leten Snat]

Leten nods...

"I think they will be happy to have it back, and yes I know Natia... How did you know my name?"

[Tharinye Lerf]

Tharinye smiles.

"I like to learn who my fellow Padawans are.

Do you think that Natia is a nice person?"

[Leten Snat]

Leten smiles as he thinks about her

"Yes... She is really nice"

[Tharinye Lerf]

"I'm glad you think that. How long have you known Natia?"

[Leten Snat]

"For a while..."

Leten gets a suspicious look on his face...

"...Why does it matter to you? and Who are you?"

[Tharinye Lerf]

"My names Tharinye Lerf. I'm related to Natia."

Tharinye's not about to say what his relation to Natia is.

"I'm just curious right now about your relationship with Natia."

[Leten Snat]

"I really don't see why my relationship with Natia is any of your business..."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"Quite simple, I'm curious because there are some relationships which Natia's been in where she killed them. I don't want you to be her next victim."

Tharinye says as he tightens his tie properly and does up his suit jacket.

[Leten Snat]

"I know that Natia would never harm me."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"That may be true in your eyes, but she has killed family, as well as friends before."

[Leten Snat]

"What ever they did to get her to do that, must have ment they got what they deserve."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"No, not all of them deserved being killed. But we are getting of topic here. Will you please tell me everything you can about Natia."

[Leten Snat]

"No."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"Why not?"

[Leten Snat]

"Because What I know about her has nothing to do with you. It's between Me and her."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"But it has everything to do with me as well. What I learn about her may prove her guilt or her innocence."

[Leten Snat]

"Then why don't you ask questions revelent to the so called crimes she has been accused of."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"They are not so called crimes Leten. They are actual crimes that she has committed. I need to know if she has told you anything that might lead to identifying her next victim."

[Leten Snat]

"Do you have a permit to pratice law enforcment on coruscant? or Do you have ANY proof that she might kill again? Life doesn't care who lives and dies, and if she kills somebody than it was their time to leave this relm. She is a good person and does what she has to to make life better for the greater good of everybody. If that is a crime then all jedi are guilty."

[Tharinye Lerf]

Tharinye shakes his head slightly.

"Mr. Snat, please, I'm just trying to protect others from her evil. That is not a crime anywhere. Killing a person is illegal and wrong. She does not have the right to decide when a person is to leave this realm. No person has that right.

And I'm not practising Law Enforcement here. I'm investigating a criminal and since I have no permit to arrest a person here, I'm not going to be. If it's deemed that she needs arresting immediatly, then I shall get the required permits to do so.

You seem to be an intellegient person. A Jedi is to protect the innocent and uphold the law. That is what I'm trying to do here since I am a Jedi Padawan as well."

[Leten Snat]

"How is killing a person any different that Killing a Hawkbat of a Grannet slug? How can you say that killing is wrong when people everywhere are eating the products of it every day? What gives a person to kill any creature? Killing is a fact of like, the world lives by kill or be killed."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"The primative world lives like that. Not a world full of laws and regulations which need to be followed. Natia killed and didn't eat what she killed. That is wrong. But when a person kills a hawkbat and eats it, then it's different."

[Leten Snat]

Leten laughs...

"If you think that anybody who kills a Hawkbat eats them, you obvously have never tasted it. People use that as a last resort, right above the grannet slugs. Most of the time the Bats are killed because they are taking your food, or trying to peck your eyes out as you sleep."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"Please, just tell me what you can about Natia."

[Leten Snat]

"Why don't you tell me what you can about Natia?"

[Tharinye Lerf]

"I would except I'm not authorized to speak of what I know of her unless it pertains to the case. What I know of her which I'm willing to tell, I've already told. Anything you tell me will remain confidential unless it is important to the case."

[Leten Snat]

"I guess I could say I am giving you the same answer."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"But that would be your choice to not respond where as my decision to not respond is made by my supiours."

[Leten Snat]

"But if you don't have a permit to pratice law on Coruscant then as long as your here you work for yourself so you have no excuse to not tell me what you know."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"No, I'm not pratising law. I'm trying to protect the innocent as any Jedi would do. I do not work for myself and oaths I have made else where still hold me here."

[Leten Snat]

"Natia is also protecting the innocent. Your both on the same side."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"Natia is a potentially dangerous criminal and until I have more information, that is how I shall view her. Now, if you want to help change that opinion which I have, you may. If not, I shall continue trying to find out what I can about her."

[Leten Snat]

"If you want infromation ask Questions that are direct not open."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"Fine, what are Natia's activities? Please explain in as much detail as possible."

[Leten Snat]

"I don't ask, she doesn't tell. Other than the stuff she does with me, and thats just talking, and stuff like that."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"But I'm sure she has said a few vague comments. If you could let me know what they are, I would appreciate it very much."

[Leten Snat]

"Nope, she hasn't said anything vague. It's always to the point."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"Ok, where does she spend most of her time when she's not here at the GJO?"

[Leten Snat]

"With her owl."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"And what's her owls name?"

[Leten Snat]

"Poledra."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"And where do Natia and Poledra spend their time when they are not here at the GJO?"

[Leten Snat]

"I'm not her babysitter! I don't know."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"Take some guesses then. Where did you meet her?"

[Leten Snat]

"In the lower levels. She was sitting and thinking."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"And after you came across her, what did the two of you do?"

[Leten Snat]

"We talked and wnet out to a restruant for food."

[Leten Snat]

"We talked and went out for Food."

[Tharinye Lerf]

"Where did you go for food?"

[Leten Snat]

"Some diner... I don't remember the name"

[Tharinye Lerf]

"What did you do after going to the diner?"

[Leten Snat]

"I went back to the GJO, Alone."

[Tharinye Lerf]

Tharinye nods slightly before frowning for a moment.

"Well, I'll be seeing you around. I need to get back to my quarters so I can get a couple hours of sleep before the sun comes up and I won't be able to sleep."

Tharinye steps back into the room he was in, picks up his datapad and gear before walking off down the hall to his quarters.

[Leten Snat]

Leten walks off to return the ring to the person that lost it then heads outside for a walk.
