It looks like these two will never get along. I read this on the net. I don't agree with the guys opinion

First the Austrians allowed Hitler in, the people supported the regime from everything I read there were very few people opposed. Second China has no attentions of invading Taiwan any time in the near future they are willing to let them stay where they are as long as they don't provoke them. This bill could provoke them. Which why the US is against it. The guy is making some stupid statements I guess he thinks the world should risk a nuclear war over Taiwan. China could invade tomorrow and I would still say let them have it I could care less. China isn't going to do a Hitler here they have no interest.

It was a mistake for us to meddle in the Chinese civil war in the first place, and our involvement unfortunately swayed the balance of power way in the direction of the communists. If only we still had the old status quo of 1946, when the communists were on the verge of extinction in northern Manchuria, or could restore the Kuomintang to power, then wash our hands of the situation. One China Policy yes, but China belongs to the Republic of China, not the People's Republic of China.

Unfortuntely that won't happen now. The only thing that is possible is to influence China to reform.

I don't think China had anything to do with it, there are people in Taiwan though on both sides who would love to see him dead.
