I've been increasingly intrigued by the Gunslinger Girl wallpapers and animated gifs in the gallery...
so much so I just *had* to go looking for it...
discovered it wasn't released in the US... >={
so I just *had* to then try out BitTorrent... (for educational purposes only *ahem* ;))
and found the 1st episode....

Result...

Ended up staying up all night getting and watching the other 12 eps instead of studying for my Roman Civ. test today... (still aced it though) and now am completely addicted and will now be trying to figure out how to create SVC's so I can show off to some fiends of mine that will go GAH over this series.

BitTorrent rocks... I got all 13 eps in like 3 or 4 hours.

A - I can't run out and buy it and the sound track at my local shop.
B - I can't get the opening Delgado's song out of my head
C - I can't read Japanese
and
D - Last episode gave me a case of the sniffles.

Here is another anime to look into. Its not entirely completed yet. I think there are another 8 eps or so left to be subbed, #17 should be coming out soon.

Its not quite as cliche as GunSlinger Girl was, but its been good so far. There were a couple episodes that prompted deep felt emotional responses from me which isn't easy with animation, TV, or movies.

Its called PLANETES The ES at the end are greek characters I don't feel like looking up right now, but the way I spelled it is how its listed on the site I will link here.

All the past eps still have seeds too, so you shoud be able to get your hands on it if you are interested. New eps come at a rate of about one every two or three weeks. I think its scheduled to have 26 episodes, but could be wrong. Its still airing in Japan thus why all the eps aren't done yet.

Another Subbing group has leaped beyond A-E and has currently finished up to episode 23. ANBU is a decent group too but getting episode 19 out of them is a little tricky since its in a torrent with 17 and 18, but other than that all the eps are in single torrents.

I used Azureus to just get 19 by itself from the 17-19 group torrent.

He may have more DVDs than I, but more Anime, I seriously doubt. I have about 40 DVDs and along side that I have over 400 GB of digital rips. So, maybe not.
