oh, there are Jedi guilty of that one also. I once had a fight when I was an apprentice, against a padawan, and the whole time, he kept asking me to run away and end the fight because they were waiting on that thread to finish before he was knighted.

What are you going to do to get the senate to go against the Jedi? Sure, there are a few that might think that the Jedi should be put under a leash and not go out and do whatever they want. But they are a foundational group in the world. The only way you could get them all is if you did whatever Anakin did to kill almost all the Jedi.
