I have to admit, that's one thing that hasnt imporved in this place - the running gags and the SW-Fans only 'language' have disappeared IMO, we have imported SA'isms and macros and I have to admit, I've been using NASIOC slang.

The unique culture has been dissovled and it's been happening for quite some time, I think. I dont think I've laughed at something uniquely SW-Fans for a long time. Even the normal disguised jokes I used to do are almost gone. Or how about the FORCE attacks? Being inventive and liberal with Star Wars, using the whole thing as a bit of fun and taking the pee out of it and ourselves used to be a real highlight. Does that happen so much anymore? Where's the silly characters? Where's MY silly characters? Where's the distinctly un-PC attitudes and 'blue' comments?

I dunno, but I guess I've been thinking about what's kept me here in the last 5 years. Yeah, 5 years, March 12. That's a long time to be anywhere, especially in an on-line forum and I've been wondering why I'm on other forums much more. Some of that's due to a reignition of my car addiction, but there is somethign that SW-Fans seems, to me anyway, to be losing.

It could be the forums have moved on and left me behind. I dont know.

It could be, not being here like I used to be, has given me a different perspective.

It could be that nothing's changed I'm talking out my butt.

Or it could be that SW-Fans really has been losing it's uniqueness and is becoming just another SW RP forum.

Or it could be I suck The Bug and I'm full of Bugness. Or any other Bug terminology anyone cares to create. I could be Full of Bug, Post Bug, Pile Bug, Pack Bug or just plain Bug.

I think we put it somewhere in 2002. It had something to do with posters being more willing to be slapstick and silly - or tolerate it at anyway. When was the last time there was a decent hijack of a thread?

Been a long time since I told anyone off for that. Besides, when it comes to hijacks, I'm usually causing them or making them worse, willingly too. a good hijacking is a decent amount of stress relief and laughter.
