So hard to think of a bio for a politician. Got any pointers?

It depends do you have a political alignment in mind? Because if you do then tailor your past to fit it. For example:

Conservative: Rich, aristocratic, traditional upbringing (best schools etc). No real work outside politics.

Liberal: Self made, or from recently wealthy (previous generation) family. Less traditional upbringing. HAd a previous job (eg: CEO of family company)

Militarist: Planet/family suffered due to invasion attack or similar.

Pro-Imperial: Former Imperial subject who benefitted from their rule (e.g. got rich). Sim to conservative.

Anti-Imperial: Former imperial subject who suffered due to their ruel (e.g. lost family).

Moderate: A little of Conservative and Liberal with perhaps a dash of another.
