This variant of the MPBM has had its engine pod removed and replaced with a single-use rocket thruster (to get the weapon into atmosphere) and an advanced turbine thruster.
The explosive contained within is a fission variant designed to have area effect, much like a depth charge. The script being run by the droid brain activates the explosive when in the relative effective distance of enemy vessels.
