I am just curious. I mean for me it is just to bring meaning to my insignificant little life :cry..........wow i am sad...so what about everyone else?

1. It gives me something to do.
2. It stimulates my imagination.
3. It gives me a way to interact with my friends other than on the phone, etc.

And I'm sure there's other reasons, but I just can't think what they are right now..

Well, what else would I do? Hardly like my social life calls me :)

RPing gives me a way to escape my boring life, make friends, have fun, and keep in touch with friends I've already made.

I agree with all the above and it's my way of relaxing and winding down after a long tiring day.

1. Get to know people.
2. Helps with English.
3. Better than wasting away in front of the TV.

Nothing better to do.

And it's funner than finding a job.

I like writing, and I like Star Wars. It made sense at the time.

So far everything above. And also I like to just do something. Most of the time I just walk around the house. Rping gives me something to look forward to and to have fun make up the best stories ever!

Sw-fans.. take me away! ;)

I post here because I'm bored most of the time, and I'm too addicted to it now, and have too many friends(enemies?) on the board to stop. I'm trapped :cry

It's fun
I'm addicted (and loving it)
Helps me wake up first thing in the morning because I have to use my brain
Gives me a break from boring tedious writing for English

Oh, and almost all of the above reasons as well.

I like writing, it's a cool way to make friends, and it gives me something more productive to do than just laying around all day.

Ditto. Jobhunting is depressing.

And besides, I've been RPing for a few years short of a decade. I've never been bored of it. Why would I stop?

Hmm ... well, I don't have many friends here and I generally hate the population where I live (its a lovely town, but I don't tend to like people all that much). My fiance joined here recently so I'll have an rp partner :D and I love to write. Too many story ideas in my head and this is an avenue of exploring those I guess.

Besides, its fun and I like it.

'Nuff said :b

well, I love starwars and I'm willing to try something new. And also at the time my social life wasnt biting, and I was excessively shy (that's changed somewhat) so this was a kind of escape from me as a person.

And I enjoy it and the interaction with other starwars freaks like me.

wow....well just out of curiousity...no one is doing this because they are like extremely ugly, small and hairy and outcasted by the rest of human society. Or is that just me?

I'm sure that there are others that would clasify that under "To escape reality."

Yes, I'm sure they would.

I ate a whole yogurt with my right index finger yesterday. And I eat my ice cream with a fork.

This place is great for escaping reality.

Sad sad Spada, unfortunately, I'm the one who made my small group of friends into RPing freaks, and we talk about it occasionally, it's sorta scary.

I was a closet RPer for two years, but I'm pretty much in the open about it now. ;) It just has a weird stigma attatched, like I'm a Dungeons and Dragons freakazoid who believes it's all real or something. Which I'm not. I just love to write, and this is an excellent place to do it at.

Covers himself in illusion, sneaks up and stabs him from behind.

Why fight fair? I'm just out for the evil-smiting... methods are immaterial. >D

*Takes out the knife, and gets a big mallet and smashes through Akrabbim and his illusion.*

Now you Akrabbim have given "Use Your Illusion" another look.

Try it again...

*Sprays the thread with Gas from a Fire Engine.*

Why aim I here first off a friend led me to ezboard a place called dew. I drifted there dabling mildly in rping then that same friend lead me to TSE and into D&D. I got hooked and the shuned from TSE and came here.

The reasons I post for the longest I only posted IC because it allowed me to be someone else and get away from my life witch frankly sucked. Daiq and Vega are the two who convinced me to do OOC stuff to promote myself I guess. I hang out here because I'm not considered so much of an outcast people accept even if they don't agree with what i'm saying all the time. Also post because I tend to get laughs when I post something funny and I don't get laughed at when I post something serious unlike real life. Reality bites and I need to be somebody else sometimes or I need people to talk to that will actually listen.
