The Simpsons on the big screen?

I don't know - I think the Simpsons has lost a little of its verve over the years, but it is still an awesome show. I don't think it will translate well to the big screen, but you never know...

I agree. It doesn't have the same room to 'grow' into the big screen in the same way as South Park did. SP had the luxury of becoming as hardcore and vulgar as it wanted, and everyone knew that's where Parker and Stone were going to go with that. You're right McBain, it won't translate to the big screen that well unless it's unbelievably funny. But I can't help but feel that it 3 or 4 episodes strung together.

I had been wondering when something like this would hit, but with a 2006 estimate is that too far down the line?

I could see them pulling something they've never done in the show, maybe tie in with say the kids going up a grade in school! :)

They should make a Family Guy movie. That is consistently hilarious now. Or perhaps Futurama. I find that funnier than the newer Simpsons episodes.

They are making a Family Guy movie:D!!!!! Its going to be straight to video though, apparently Stewie will discover he is gay...

As for the movie being a reality - Yes :D
Stewie finding hes gay - who knows... strange FG story line though, wish they would make him more evil again, like series 1
