Or: Mozilla Phoenix gets renamed yet again.

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

Due to legal reasons, they had to change the name again. This time, they registered "Firefox" as the trademark, so it should be fairly permanent. I picked up the P4/Athlon XP SSE optimized version here (http://www.xhost.info/MozillaFirefox-0.8-final-Oxs-G7-SSE.exe), and it's at least twice as fast as the normal client.

Huway for Firefox! I suppose I should get rid of all the old Firebird stuff then?

If im correct, Firefox is basically the newest version of Firebird.

Even if im not, Firefox, Firebird, and Mozilla are all very much superior to IE.

Ive been using mozilla, but Im gonna give Firefox a try.

well I am, its mozilla just with a different name. I cant stand IE anymore. It has plagued me to no end.

EDIT: Well, I would like some opinions. I'm not to sure on the difference between Mozilla and Firefox. It looks like Firefox is fairly new. Should I download Mozilla or Firefox?

Er ok, I just downed and installed Firefox. First time using a browser other than IE. I'm trying to figure things out and get my bookmarks and stuff. So far there are a few things that I liked more on IE, such as the sidebar menus for favorites and such, but its a price to pay. I need to download some plugins, but mozillas website sucks and wont load the pages -_-

I got it, though the P4 one wouldnt take my plugins so i had to revert back to the other.

Marcus, I know that, but I was talking about the side bar. But I figured out ctrl+b brings it up.

Texturizer.net has had to shut down because of the firefox release. Can't get any extensions -_-

Thank goodness they didn't switch the order of those two words. Otherwise I'd have to make a lot of jokes.

I'm using this version. It doesn't seem to me to be any faster than normal, and I've been using Firebird for quite some time.
