Alright. Before hand, you'll have to excuse me for not knowing shit about this. I pretty much live out in the sticks (as im sure Charley and Christin can testify to) so broadband has pretty much been a negative for me.
Right now though, our phone company is offering it for our area and everything, but i just wanna be sure the prices are fair.
DSL Regular - 256kps - $34.95
DSL Super - 768kps - $44.95
DSL Supreme - 1.5 mps - 54.95
Right now, DSL regular is my best bet, and super is a possibility. Supreme is pretty much out of the question. Right now, im paying 15 bux for dial up, and im sure 256 kps is wayyyyyyyyyyyy better, I just dont want to pay 35 bux for something that isnt really that good. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

256k is much better than dial-up, yeah. But I cant comment on price, because Aust DSl pricing fucking sucks cock. 208 for three months, 256k.
Is this with unlimited bandwidth?

From the looks of that, i'll be ruling out the 34.95 option and going with the 44.95 one. I cant find anything on the site reguarding bandwidth. I might not be looking in the right spot. I'm calling them today though, so thats stuff I can find out over the phone.

They are the best internet provider I've ever worked with. They even come with a pleasant southern accent, since they're based in Durham NC.

its a shame sbc isnt out there - not to my knowledge at least. 25 bux for dsl and a basic phoneline.
ive never really had trouble with sbc. the dsl is good, and they send you the modem for free which is nice. though for some reason they saw fit to send me a second modem and ethernet card when i got my service switched to the place in dallas o_O
im not one to complain though, its free hardware =]

That is a really good deal if you're on a budget. Fortunately, my folks isn't that tight.

You're lucky. With my Britsys provider, Covad, the closest deal to that is 3.0mbps/768kbps for $99. 1.5mbps/384kbps is still $65. Covad basically has a monopoly on local DSL, all aDSL providers provide Covad.

That really depends on your area. I can get DSL through basically everyone. Bellsouth, Worldcom (which I have) or Covad.
