Cataclyst [Open]

[Jared Mriad]

The wind roared in his ear, the scenery flying past into a distorted blur. Naboo, it was, and beutiful to the eye, even when it smudged and flowed faster than water. Jared throttled the motorcycle, ripping across a vast plane where a war for Naboo had been fought over a century ago. Behind the silver-rimmed sunglasses, Jared's eyes scanned ahead. The machine between his legs roared continously, a frothing beast tearing at the ground below. The Warrior's leather jacket flapped in terror as the wind buffeted it, and his saber's clipped to the belt also swung with the wind.

He rode onward, a particular feeling this way.

[Shade Magus]

Shae watched the cyclist from a distance. He had always, admired the machines, but never tried them. Anyways....., the Jedi thought as he turned back to his lightsaber training. He had come here because it was usually secluded and he could get in some rigurous Jedi training in.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared's eyes twitched. It had moved.

He adjusted to compensate, now heading torward the Jedi. The machine below him could be heard running up to another gear-switch, then dropping back down in volume.

[Shade Magus]

Shade dropped back to the ground and spun around seeing the person come nowards him. The Jedi deactivated his lightsaber and clipped it to his belt as he waited for the person to get closer before he tried to predict his intention.

[Jared Mriad]

The closer Jared neared, the crazier his mind got. At about 25-feet, going around 70-75 mph, Jared suddenly let loose of the handle-bars and jumped off the back of the bike, forcing himself to stop dead in the air with a quick triple-burst of the Force.

The Sith Warrior landed in a loose crouch, pushing himself up to standing and watching the bike's careening course for Shade.

Hadn't he met him before, looked awefully familiar?

Shade watched as the rider of the bike jumped from it, and as he was distracted, he didn't see the bike until it was almost to late. The Jedi spun around, activating his lightsaber and sliced the bike neatly in half. The top part flying through the air, narrowly missing his speeder, the bottom running into a nearby tree. He finished the spin in a defensive stance looking at his attacker.

"Who are you and what do you want? I have not instigated you in the slightest."

[Jared Mriad]

"I think slicin' my bike in half is half enough," Jared replied, "Secondly, you're a Jedi. But, I'm not one to dwell on the alliance of fellow force users, now am I?" He grinned quickly.

[Shade Magus]

Shade stood up and straightened his back out.

"Well if you have a problem about your bike, then I suggest not ever pulling that stunt again. If you have a problem about me being a Jedi, well there isn't much I can do about that now is there?"

[Jared Mriad]

Jared shoved his hands into his coat pockets.

"Well. Yeah, there is."

He smirked.

"Take that lightstick and shove it in yer gut, for one. That'd work. Wait! That goes against your code, right? Thou shalt not stab ones self with shiney stick?"

[Shade Magus]

Shade smirked.

"You know. I bet if your even half as good fighting as you are with witty remarks you might even be a decent fighter.'

[Jared Mriad]

"I might just be."

He laughed, his smirk returning quickly with a cold smile in his eye. His lightsabers unclipped form their hooks and floated by his sides, slowly rotating in jagged spheres.

"But that's for me to know, for you to test."

[Shade Magus]

Shade smiled as he lowered himself into a crouching fightng position.

[]"If that is your wish."[/i]

[Jared Mriad]

Jared smirked an all-too-familiar smirk, lightly behind his knees and holding his right hand out torward Magnus, palm up. With his index and middle he gave the 'Bring it' motion, his sabers still spinning in the air...

[Shade Magus]

Shade smiled as an all to familiar presence surrounded him. It was always a great feeling to be thrust back into the Force. He ran towards his opponent, and at the last possible second, dropped and rolled. His saber out beside him, sothat when he came up he swept it across the ground and straight up the middle of the two dancing sabers.

[Jared Mriad]

But Jared wasn't there.

Just heartbeats after Shade dove into a roll, Jared had vaulted himself into the air with a little Force trickery. He tucked and landed behind Shade, his sabers in both hands snapped to life with the trademark and maleviolent hiss of their creation.

He stood and backed away, his sabers out to the side.

"Come on, Jedi! Can't you do better?"

[Shade Magus]

"I could, but I prefer to take my time in warming up."

Shade easily twisted around with a slash to Jared's left saber hand.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared's left hand dropped and pulled away as his body twisted with a right swing aimed for taking Shade's saber arm off at the elbow...

[Shade Magus]

Shade lifted his hand up as he jumped into the air, somersaulting behind Jared and coming around with a strike aimed at his left knee cap.

[Jared Mriad]

Shade's fist met a small invisible Force barrier and Jared turned and backed away, both his sabers out at this side.

"I'm no darkside apprentice, Jedi, quit attacking me like I was one and bloody ATTACK ME!"

[Shade Magus]

Shade stood straight and nodded.

"If that is your wish. Then play time is over!"

Shade ran at Jared, the Force gathering inside of him. The world around him was slowing down at an incredible rate as he sped up, and before either of them knew it Shade was in the air slashing down at jared with one hand and with the other using the Force to pull him towards Shade.

Jared flashed a grin, using the momentum of Shade's pull to dive under the Jedi. He rolled and came up with a leftwards twist of his torso and legs; slashing out with his left saber in a backhand maneuver..

[Shade Magus]

Shade inverted his Saber, blocking the attack, and twisting the opposite way with his free hand curled into a fist aimed at Jared's nose.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared dropped his sabers and countered: he caught Shade's wrist with his left hand, formed a knife-chop with his left and struck the crook of the Jedi's elbow, used the window that Shade would've felt the muscles in his elbow go numb to wrap his left under Shade's arm and bending his wrist torward his shoulder to be gripped by the left hand and pulled as Jared pushed. The limb would threaten to break or dislocate if Jared pushed any further.

"Drop yer saber now," He spoke into Shade's ear, "They're nothin' to honor an unarmed opponent!"

[Shade Magus]

"Very well. It seems you have me at a disadvantage, but I wonder."

Shade dropped his saber and let his other hand hang down by his side.

[Jared Mriad]

"You wonder? Is that all you Jedi do all day?" Jared chuckled, releasing the hold and quickly backing away. All three sabers lifted up into the air then shot off torwards the three, clattering against the bark and falling into their own little, scattered, heap.

"Must get damn boring."

[Shade Magus]

"Not really."

Shade rotated his arm to work out any cinks. He then lower himself into a fighting crouch, his left foot and arm in front of him and his right hand held out behind him. He beckoned the dark one.

"We gonna start this or what?'

[Jared Mriad]

Jared shrugs.

"Let's get it over with," He psudo-groans, acting like he lowered his guard...

[Shade Magus]

Shade edged forward slowly, testing Jared's dfenses. He moved close enough to throw a right jab.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared suddenly leapt back and shortly out of range, landing into a quick dash at Magus. He throws a force-accelerated right hook...

[Shade Magus]

Shade couldn't move in time, so he dropped, still catching the punch on his cheek. When the attack conected though, since e was off his feet, he flew backwards and using his know free legs, sent a quick kick towards Jared's left knee, but was unsure whether or not the blow would land due to his being off balance.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared saw the kick seconds too late, feeling the impact sweep his leg out from under him and sending the Warrior onto his back. But, never the one to pause, he quickly gained his footing by rolling onto his back and kipping up.

He shook the dust off his jacket, then tossed the leather off his shoulders. Jared threw his hands out and then lowered them to his bent knees, watching the Jedi with a smirk on his lips.

[Shade Magus]

Shade stood up straight as a smile came to his features.

"Nice moves. Do this often?"

Always one to ask rehtorical questions, he didn't even wait for an answer before rushing forward and jumping into the air, his foot outstretched before him aimed at Jared's head.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared ducked and strafed to the right, turning 180* to face back torward Shade.

"Not often," He replied, keeping his guard up.

[Shade Magus]

"Too bad then..."

As he turned to face him, Shade let loose a volley of jabs and kicks, all aimed for his chest and legs.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared blocked several of the kicks and jabs with a combination of his forearms and thighs, taking two-three hits here and there on his torso that he couldn't block. He waited until he saw the opportune moment.

When Shade struck with his right fist in his continued assault, Jared caught it by the wrist with his left hand and shot a jab into Shade's kidney-area with his left, following through, he elbowed the Jedi, hooked his shoulder under Shade's right arm then fireman tossed him over his shoulders..

[Shade Magus]

Shade was lucky enough to land on his feet, but unfortunately the blow to the kidneys he had just recieved and the impact from his feet hitting the ground hard sent him to his knees.

"Nice.....shot....."

Shade was straining for breath, but he didn't wait to catch it. He jumped up on his hand and swung his legs around underneath Jared's.

Jared was slow to reposite, feeling his legs swept under him for the second time in the duel. He rolled away and kipped up again, crouching into a defencive pose with his fists tight.

[Shade Magus]

Shade pushed himself into the air as he finished the twist and landed hard on his feet, his side still aching. He pushed the pain out as he let out a slow breath. The Jedi then pushed his hand forward and used the Force to push Jared back and came at him with a right hook.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared pushed back with a little Force work of his own. He dropped into a crouch and came in retaliation with a stiff upper cut to Shade's stomach..

[Shade Magus]

Shade doubled over on Jared's hand, but he still had enough strength in him to grab Jared's wrist. With it he twisted around and flip the darksider on his back. Shade brought his leg up and used all his strength to come craching down.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared rolls again, coming up with a crouching leg-sweep.

[Shade Magus]

On one leg, Shade went down hard on his back, but he had little time as he rolled backwards and used the momentum to sring on to his feet. There he took a few steps back to allow for breathing room. The Jedi then went into a defensive position, ready for Jared's move.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared flows into another assault with a reversed roundhouse kick, aimed low...

[Shade Magus]

Shade brought his corresponding leg up to block the blow and sent his left fist at Jared's nose.

Impact!

Jared fell back several steps, his hand up to his nose. It wasn't broken, but it hurt like a sonuffa... Yeah.

"Nice shot, Jedi..."

[Shade Magus]

"Thank you....want me to try it again?"

Shade switched his footing as he circled Jared looking for an opening.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared shifted enough to keep facing the Jedi.

"Go fer it."

[Shade Magus]

Ummm.....how about no.....you see, I have been then throwing myself at you, why don't we switch that role."

Shade edged his way slightly forward still circling Jared.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared faked a right hook, then about mid-swing, he came up the center with a quick snap-punch with his left aimed for Shade's nose.

[Shade Magus]

Shade fell for the right, but was fortunately able to pull shoulder up and around to catch the blow to his face. The Jedi heard a pop and then his left arm hung. Shade continued the spin and brought his right leg into the air at waist level for Jared.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared was wringing out his left fist when the kick from Shade caught his midsection unprotected. Grinning at the impact, probally resulting with a cracked rib, Jared hooked his right arm under the leg and pinned it to his body. Quickly, he struck at the knee-cap with a palm-strike. Intending to break the jedi's knee, or injure it up pretty bad.

Shade let a goan escape his mouth as Jared's fist hit him. He could feel his knee flare up in pain, but it was not broken. Shade jerked his leg away and took a few steps back limping on his right leg. With an exhaust of breath he let all his anger and as much pain as he could let go flow out.

"Well...well...this is getting better and better."

[Jared Mriad]

Jared shot a grin, knowing that the fight had been tipped into his favor now. He dashed forward and shot out with a low roundhouse for Shade's injured knee..

Shade droped to the ground, with Jared's leg flowing merely centimeters above his head. Shade then, using all the strength and calling on as much of the Force as he could, swung his good leg around, allowing his momentum to pick him off the ground and he used his good hand to spring back into a standing position. Seeing he was facing Jared's back, Shade thrust his hand forward and unleached a mighty Force push.

Jared felt himself unceremoniously tossed forward by the push. He tucked and rolled into a crouch the moment he impacted the earth. Staying still, the Warrior started to channel the force into himself...

[Shade Magus]

Shade backed away a few feet as he felt Jared call on the Force.

"Wonder what this is about?"

[Jared Mriad]

Jared stands after a few more moments of his crouch, if the accute eye watched, it seemed as if he moved more fluidly than before. He opened and closed his fingers on both hands, plotting his next motions carefully...

[Shade Magus]

Shade took a slight step forward and as the dust began to settle back down to the ground he took off. Rushing Jared he stopped just short and swung his left leg up as to hit his face, but suddenly switched and went for his midsection.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared fell for it.

He rose his arms to deflect the high kick, leaving his torso unprotected for when the attack suddenly changed he was totally caught off. He took the blow fully, almost doubling over the limb before his warrior's training caught up.

Out of breath, the sith gripped Shade's leg by the calf and pulled it into a throw, swivling on his right and letting loose with enough power to probally send the Jedi off balance.

Enough time for him to catch that breath, he knew.

Shade did as expected and lost his balance. Fortunately however he was able to remain standing. When his footing was sure, Shade threw his right fist into Jared's midsection, intent on keeping up the push.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared slides quickly to the left and twists to the side, attempting to bury his left elbow into Shade's face.

[Shade Magus]

Shade ducked forward, but not enough to completely miss the blow. He got knocked on the top of his head. However he had enough momentum that he kept going forward and brought his leg up behind him as he did, just enough that Jared should run into it as long as both of them should keep moving.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared bumped into the raised leg, spinning on his feet for a turn before catching himself. That shot wasn't much to harm, but disorienting was the spin.

He was getting quite close to brining in the lightsticks.

[Shade Magus]

Shade continued with the rolled and came up crouched on the ground looking at Jared.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared rushed with a blantly obvious forward jab, and a slow one.

His sabers, the ones clattered against the tree, lifted and sped torward the two combatants, igniting after passing Jared into two screaming disks, intending to slice Magnus ito ribbons. Jared had stoped himself by sliding 'baseball' style. Controlling the sabers with his right hand...

[Shade Magus]

Shade could sense the saber coming, and leapt into the air sideways so that one passed above and one below. He landed crouched on one knee and reach out calling his own lightsaber to him. The green blade ignited as it touched his hand.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared's sabers slingshot around an invisible point and returned to his hands. He stood to his feet and crossed the humming blades into a cascade of static and sparks, sliding his right foot back and tilting, rotating his shoulders until his left was to Magus.

[Shade Magus]

Shade pushed off with his foot and rushed Jared, striking with a volley of slashes and thrusts.

[Jared Mriad]

Frell.. he's fast.

Jared parried the first slash with the left saber in a downward arc, bringing the right forward to intercept a thrust and push it up and high left. At soon as both of the first two strikes had cleared enough room for Jared to strike, he did by lifting his left foot and shooting it out aimed for Shades' face or chest.

[Shade Magus]

Shade brought his arm up to block the attack and was pushed back by the force of the blow. When he stopped staggering backwards he thrust his hand out and Force pushed Jared at the same time rushing again with an attack aimed at his lower left leg.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared backpedaled haphazardly and before he could react, Shade's saber nipped his left thigh. As the burning pain laced up through his leg, Jared snarled and thrusted with his right saber by pivoting on his right foot ..

[Shade Magus]

The saber sliced his right arm cleanly leaving a cartarized cut. He pivoted on his right leg and stopped about six feet in front of Jared breathing heavely. Pulling himself into a defensive position.

[Jared Mriad]

Jared spun his two sabers in his hands, creating a whirling vortex of red and sound.

"Well?" He shouted over the hums, leaning over heavily onto his uninjured leg, "Yanno, since you haven't been rantin' on no fightin', I'm gonna' propose somethin' to yer; We call it draw and walk away while either of us can do it."

[Shade Magus]

Shade nodded.

"I would accept it, but how do I know I can trust you?"

[Jared Mriad]

Jared stilled the sabers and shut them down, keeping his thumb on the ignitor for that just-in-case feeling.

"What makes you think you can't?"

[Shade Magus]

Shade straightened up and deactivated his own lightsaber. He then motioned to the two halves of the wrecked machine nearby.

"Well. For starters you tried to run me down with your motorcycle there just because I am a Jedi I presume."

[Jared Mriad]

He shot a grin.

"Probally right there, but I prefer to call it chicken ala' squish or dive."

[Shade Magus]

"Well, whatever the case, that still doesn't show how I would be able to trust you."

Shade shifted his weight to his right leg to ease the pain of his left knee.

[Jared Mriad]

The grin faded away to a serious expression, no longer did his voice carry the sound of amusement. He clipped his sabers to their places and crossed his arms.

"Trust who you will, then."

[Shade Magus]

Shade stood a little more relaxed.

"I will then. Might as inquire of you as to what makes you think I will not attack you if you turn from me?"
