Let me enlighten you.

Special Unit 731 was created by mandate of the Imperial Japanese Government for the creation, useage, and storage of biochemical weapons.

It was set up in Manchuria under the direction of Hiro Ishye, a man history has said could have taught Josef Mengele a few things. This man was mad, but also brilliant. He thought that the best way to test a virus was to watch the vody's reaction to it. Thusly, as soon as a patient was injected he or she was vivsected - without anesthetic.

Another favorite was to place patients in the form of local chinese peasants into climate controlled enviornments to test exposure.

Special Unit 731 was the Japanese experimentation centre. It was evil.

The most intresting part is, after the war, Ishye and his staff were moved to the United States and given work with the government continuing their studies and unlocking the secrets they had discovered.
