The momentum has been building for some time that the solution to the Poincare Conjecture may have been found by this Russian mathematician. If his work holds up, as it has thus far, perhaps the most difficult to prove math problem of the 20th Century will finally have an answer.

Hats off to the guy if he got it right. Proving something never before proven in mathematics, or discovering something new in any mathematical branch, is one of the rarest occurances in all of scientific research.

Oh wow. Mad props to him. I am thoroughly interested in this whole Poincare Conjecture thing. This is incredibly cool stuff.
