Its wierd the final standings only show regular season and not the playoff seedings.

I ended up 3rd, I'm happy with that considering I started so poorly.

Second in my other.

I'd say 4th isn't too bad. Mayhaps if I actually changed my players for the playoffs.. stupid busy type days. ><

Even though I've said this before, I'd like to once again point out that I had the highest scoring team in the league, yet didn't even sniff the playoffs.

Worst. Luck. Ever.

Yeah that was odd. I can't come up with any logical explanation for it either.

I had a team last year that did the same thing. My few wins would be blowouts and almost all of the other games(which I lost) were by only a few points and were very high scoring.

Lots and lots of luck with Fantasy FB.

If we do it again next year I would prefer to do a team defense rather than individual players.

We would have to find another league than I don't care for some of the ways Yahoo figures numbers out especially defense players I could never figure it out after the games were over.

That'd be unfair. If there are 10 people playing, in theory one person can at best get the TENTH best defense. If a player does bad, you get one doing better. If your defense does bad, you're screwed.

How is that any different from picking up players in free agency or off waivers? Pre-season rankings, much of the time, don't mean a lot. Tampa Bay's defense was supposed to be dominant again this season, yet they were very average at best, just as an example. If you're originally drafted defense doesn't play well in your opinion, then claim a different one via free agency.

Team defense in fantasy football is simpler to handle. AFAIK, you can use team defense on Yahoo's system. You just have to set it when you create the league.

Because if one team has a dominant defense, only ONE player gets that. Your whole defense sucks? You're screwed. More players than teams, meaning more choice.

:rolleyes

Please. That's part of the game, trying to figure out what will give you the greatest advantage. Besides, you're hardly screwed if your defense isn't as good as someone elses. Playing team defense gives you an opportunity to score more defensive points, that's all. It's one slot on your draft board, rather than 3 or 4 for individual players. If you want get a top defense, put it high up on your draft board. If you would rather have offensive firepower, go for QBs and RBs early.

Unfair? Hardly.

I honest;y have no clue how Yahoo managaed it's point system. I find it odd and fishy at the same time that I'd have the same player on both of my teams in Yahoo end up getting different point totals.

Well the point totals can be set by the league manager, some will emphasize certain things over others.

Do a single defense won't be much different then doing two defensive players. In a 10 person league each person will have a few defenses so you'll have your options and you don't have to deal with uber players who are given ridiculous tackle totals by their teams(Urlacher, Lewis, etc).
