But why is it there are so many guests on SWF? It's not like this is a once and awhile thing, but it seems to be a reoccuring thing now, where everyday, at any hour, there are tons and tons of guests.

Is there a bug floating around somewhere or something?

The search engine index bots (inktomi and google) are busy and seem to really like our site.

So it's bots from the serach engines that are checking out the site when people put out serach inquiries? Or is it some random thing the bots just do?

The way a search engine works, it uses automated scripts or 'bots' cataloging webpages so we can find sites with the content we want when searching for them in their indexing databases. What it looks for is frequently used keywords and meta tags hidden in the source code of web pages. They also looks for links to other sites, and whenever a site has many links from other sites, it means the site is popular and it gets a better ranking in search results.

The bots are what makes search engines work so well, and their presence is a good thing for us, since they allow people around the world to find our site through searches. Through the implementation of the search engine spiderable hack some time ago, all our forum threads are now indexable by the search engine bots, and should generate better ranking and more frequent visits/hits from google searches and similar engines.

This is a silly question but I wonder if I only searched the word 'daiquiri', if I would find a link to Fans?

When I searched, I only went to 'images' and looked for 'daiquiri'. Goes to show that my pc know-how still leaves a lot to be desired :\
