True....but "I am God! I am immortal! I cannot die!" is a little over the top. The first thing that came to my mind was WTF. I see that worth enough to deem a WTF post.

Yeah...14 shots and she hit her partner twice and who knows how many times the crazy guy..and they are both still alive. The vest saved the cop but the crazy guy was naked ? 14 shots-2 for the partner..thats 12 shots to the naked guy. Im guessing since he opened the door it was close range too?

I thought cops had to learn how to shoot ?

and that poor woman who was his wife:(

The guy lunged at the officers. There are numerous scenarios in which it would be possible for friendly fire injuries. Just ask anyone whom has had to defend themselves against an intruder in their home. Adreneline can cause even the most skilled marksman to be off target.

This is why I applaud the officer for putting 12 rounds into his sorry carcass.

You shoot until the mag is dry or the target is dead or on the ground. If it took 12 shots, then that's what it takes.

He'd only have 1 or 2 shots left, depending on if he carried with a +1 config or not. Police pistols have a 15 round capacity.

This sort of story is why people should think twice before they criticize cops. They put their lives on the line like that everyday.
