1) Kung Pow : Enter The Fist

0/10. Not funny. Not entertaining. A purile waste of my time that is completely below contempt. I have nothing more printable to say about this abomination.

2) Legally Blonde.

0.5/ 10 What a rancid, pathetic, unfunny waste of time. I could have been entertained more by watching a turd in a toilet bowl, which this movie is close to being. This movie is beyond chick flick for awfulness... it's a goatse type film, a movie to take every print and burn in fury at the insult it is. It say much however that Kung Pow is worse.

Lord, help my sanity recover.

To prove chick flicks can be good, I recommend About a Boy, which is vastly better than Legally Blonde.

Why oh why did the tenants and my wife pick these two foul excrements of films to watch on a rainy saturday.

Did you see it when you were bombed out or drunk or something? Kung Pow is foul. There isnt a single redeeming feature. No, not even the cow fight. That's the best part of this steaming pile and even then, it's pathetic.

Kung Pow was what Marcus said. It had to be one of the most stupid movies Ive ever seen!

You couldn't pay me to watch that movie. I remember seeing the previews and I literally punched my brother in the head when he said he thought it looked funny.
He told me once he saw it that I should have punched him even harder, it was the worst thing ever put to film.

I'd take Kung Pow over TTT, Equilibrium, Master and Commander, etc, any day.

I did see Legally Blonde and I thought it was slightly amusing, there is now way you could get me to see the sequel though

Never seen Kung Pow although i did want to see it

'Kung Pow' was something very foul on a reel shingle. One of the worst, made 'They Call me Bruce' look like the Holy Grail.

When it comes to slapstick comedy give me the 'Pink Panther' series or 'Gonna git you Sucka' any day. Those are truly hilarious.

I loved the Pink Panther movies! Peter Sellars was excellent in those! :lol

Surely you jest Kung Pow is better than TTT like a mouse is bigger than a elephant.

Commander Zemil Vymes
Dec 7th, 2003, 02:35:10 AM
I don't jest.

TTT was a bit of a letdown for me. I got extreme closeups of split ends and nosehairs, hammed up Gollum, WAAAAY too much Arwen, sterile battle scenes, Agent Orange Ents, need I go on?

Kung Pow exceeded my expectations. I laughed heartily.

Jedi Master Carr

TTT was a great movie it sure didn't let me down. Comedies like Kung Pow make me barf I agree with TCM here I take the Pink Panther movies any day over that.

The FotR was so immaculate in beauty and storytelling. That movie really awed me. So TTT was a big letdown for me too. But to put crap like Kung Pow above it escapes logic IMO.

Kung Pow was absolutely hilarious, IMO. I couldn't stop laughing. The dubbing is just a crease! :lol

Legally Blonde, I didn't go to see because yes, it was obvious that it was awful.

I didn't really know what the deal was about the movie till after I saw it, and figured out that it was just that one guy digitally inserting himself into the movie and adding dubbed lines.

Anyway, it is one of the major sources of "in joke" one-liners amongst my friends.

"Hyahhhh....I'm eeevil Betty hyaaahhhh"

"WEE-OO WEE-OO WEE-OO WEE-OO"

or the best one:

"THAT'S A LOT OF NUTS!!!"

There's something uproariously funny about being at a party, going over to one of my buddies with a deadpan face, and then suddenly shouting "THAT'S A LOT OF NUTS!!!" We all die of laughter.

Kung Pow had it's moments, but it wasn't anything special. But damn, I'd be embarrased to publicly admit I enjoyed it more than TTT! What's next, Barb Wire made Casablanca look dated and stale? :lol

You can get a lot of laughs out of Kung Pow, and I think that if I was sitting down to watch it with a group of friends we'd enjoy that more than watching Helms Deep etc.

Gimli's scenes were funnier than most of Kung Pow. KP wasn't foul, but it not something that's ever going to be considered a classic.

Dasquian Belargic
Dec 7th, 2003, 10:24:28 AM
No, I wouldn't say that it was a classic at all - but I don't think Gimli's scenes were anywhere near as funny as Kung Pow. Gimli got a few chuckles out of me, but I was crying with laughter at some points in Kung Pow. For comedy/entertainment value, I prefer KP (which is why I'd say as a group watching it would be more fun!), but TTT is overall a better film :)

Gimli was funny? Ok, he fell down and asked Aragorn to toss him. COMEDY GOLD.

I chuckled a few times, but that's not even close to Kung Pow's hilarity.

i havent seen any of those movies :|

pretty much my stupid humor pics are some of the older ones, like uhf, sherlock holmes' smarter brother, the mouse that roared (though that was less stupid humor and more pricelessness), the great race (a classic), and a funny thing happened on the way to the forum.

*shrug* im just different like that i guess

Nah, I couldn't finish Kung Pow, listless and appalling. KP failed to stir one chuckle from me. The female character with the husky pitched voice (like a man was doing the dubbing) was especially grating. Bad movie.

I am one who shares the opinion that Kung Pow is a movie that never should have been made and is not worth the film it is printed on. I watched it expecting to find at least one or two moments of entertainment and found it to be nothing but complete unentertaining garbage. A pitiful example of filmmaking and film producing.

This is of course, just my opinion and not neccessarily fact that applies to the entire populace of the world.

Legally Blonde had a few cute moments and should not be classified anywhere near KP.

Well, I just watched a bit from Legally Blonde, just to find out if it was as bad as Marcus says.

Lets just say, halfway through, I could not stand it any more and switched off..

Legally Blonde - what were you expecting? Take it for what it was - cinematic fluff. I didnt mind it, but glad I didn't spend money to see it.

Kung Pow - Never saw it. Dont like that kind of "idiocy" humor myself, (with the exception of Dumb and Dumber) and from what I saw of the trailers, I knew it would be a waste of my time.

Master Yoghurt
Dec 7th, 2003, 10:25:58 PM
Well, I realise that. But there is good fluff, and bad fluff. This was a comedy which failed to humor me the slightest. The characters were inaccurate stereotypes, the acting was horrific, the plot was pointless and worst of all; I somehow have a feeling some of the stupidity is unintentional. There were moments I asked myself, are we supposed to laugh here or roll our eyes? The "blonde" was just as selfcentred as the "bad guy"; Warner. Yet, as it progresses, the movie tries to suggest some moral to the story (!). And the whole Harward/lawschool portrayal is a farce, and a bad one at that. Actually, had it been an idiocy comedy, it might have worked better and the jokes better. I prefer a movie to be openly pointless rather than pretend to be something it is not.

Ok, I guess that was a bad review, hehe.. :)

My face during Kung Pow -> :|

My face during Legally Blonde ->:|

Both movies were, to say the least, some of the worst trash I have ever seen.

Kung Pow had some moments, I laughed with the dubbing of the little Chinese guy in it, that was it. Comedy? No. Trash? Yes. My 12 year old brother was laughing away at it, as were his friends. Myself and my friends were not. I think you have to be certain age to fully appreciate Kung Pow, or at least appreciate that which I cannot.

Legally Blonde was Hollywood spewing out yet another worthless and (hopefully) soon to be forgotten, romantic comedy. It had no funny parts, I hated it.

So, in summary, both films were as bad as the titles suggest.

It's already out on video, little green man. I heard it wasn't quite as good as the first one, so if you didn't like Legally Blonde, then avoid Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, and Blonde at all costs.

I rented the first a month ago, and found it to be cute and funny. Hey, remember, Jon liked it. ;) I probably won't see the sequel.

Nor is xXx, but it's going to get a sequel. I don't think (as great as it was) that Shrek should get a sequel but it is. And The Fast and the Furious got a sequel. Face it, if it made money the first time around, there WILL be a sequel.
