The lone sentient settlement on Onderon, Iziz City, was not so easily found on the planetary maps. Ishan had heard of it's existance, and since that time had concentrated all his efforts to locating the stronghold. Rumors had been growing throughout the galaxy of a strong darkside presense there, and Ishan was facinated. Ever since his accendance into the dark arts of Sith magic, Ishan had been obsessed with finding a suitable mentor in such a field.

Shade, who was the sole owner of the largest weapons manufactoring company in the galaxy, sat quietly behind the controls of his luxury craft. His extreme wealth granted him opportunities that most would never dream of. He had connections that stretched to the far outer reaches of deep space, thousands of ears that bugged every room - all the way up to the high levels of the politians and the Hutts. His power was imense, but it was nothing compared to one poisinous taste of the Dark Side. And Ishan Shade was forever changed.

He piloted the craft onto a small outstretched landing platform area adjacent to the Iziz's towering walls. Shutting down the ship, Ishan took a long glare at his accomplished findings. Perhaps here, the galaxy's richest business man, would find what he valued most.

The landing ramp came to a hault on the tatterd asphault below, and Ishan took his first step onto Iziz's sacred grounds. The place looked deserted, no signs of inhabitants breached his vision, and Ishan was cautious not to draw any unwanted attention.

Moving toward two large pillars, Ishan gazed up at the stronghold's beauty. Shade's race, the Falleen, were reptilian, and his features did possess a vague snakelike aura. He was hairless, save for a topknot and ponytail on his skull, and through the extravagant robes that adorned him poured his muscular features.

Had the rumors been true? Perhaps he was only chasing a wive's tale, perhaps locating the planet had been in vain.

In the distance he saw a metal gate that appeared to line the outer-rim of the city's perimeter. Closing in, he remained silent, and gave a slight knock.

Boom. Boom. Boom.

Clouds billowed on the horizon and thunder pounded through the city. Within the protective walls of Iziz, nearly the entire population had retreated to its homes in preparation. Storms werent an uncommon occurance, but this one was shaping up to be a big one.

As soon as Naj had settled in to wait out the storm he'd recieved a summons from De'Ville. Visitors, at the most inopportune of times. As quickly as he could grab his cloak and staff, an escort was waiting to take him to the spaceport. The incoming ship had just landed when Naj arrived. He gave a nod to the nearby guards and started for the gate. Why De'Ville had chosen him to handle welcoming duties was beyond his scope of knowledge, though he suspected that she wished for a stray bolt of lightning to strike him as he made his way around outdoors. With that train of thought, he glanced over at the metal staff in his hands and rolled his eyes slightly. Clever woman.

Apparantly whoever it was visiting wasnt patient enough to wait on the gates to open. This was showing signs of promise, as it increased the chance that they wouldnt drag their feet in stating their business. That way Naj could take care of things and get back to his quarters in a timely manner.

Slowly, the gate began to open. Naj straightened up a bit and started forward again...

The storm that brewed in Iziz's skies had all but went unnoticed by Ishan. In his facination of the stronghold city, he had not cared to look up at the swirling clouds that now strangled the darkening sky. A roll of deep ominous thunder sent his head upward and when he leveled his eyes back at the gate they appeared to decieve him.

Naj?

The man that now paced toward the gate was one Ishan recongnized. Commrades in The Krath, a select inner circle put together by Jeseth Cloak and Jehova Eaven, Ishan and Naj had once been friends. It had been a while since they had last spoke, barring the disapearence of the two founders - Ishan had left the Krath.

It was truley a small galaxy after all.

A smile crept onto his face, "Well, this is the last place I would have expected to find you. He looked up at the sky. "I would figure Onderon as too dreary of a place for a man such as yourself."

He protruded his hand through the gate's iron bars. "It's been a while."

"It has.."

Naj replied as he shook Ishan's hand.

"It's funny, I had hoped to see you arriving home, rather than here. I would figure such a place as this would be too dreary for yourself, also."

Naj stepped back a bit and the secondary bar gate opened, letting Ishan pass.

Ishan stepped past the gate, into the city's limits, glancing at Naj as they walked toward the spaceport's exit.

"Yes, unfortunately my business obligations are growing as tiredsome as ever. It has been rather busy as of late on Courscant." Ishan paused briefly, "Tell me old friend, is this now the place you call home?"

"I have an agenda here. Home is something we dont speak of, especially here. I trust you still remember why?"

Naj was testing waters here. It was well understood that Koros Major and the Krath was something that wasnt to be spoken of. The very act could turn old friends into bitter enemies in a matter of moments.

"I would like for this encounter to remain a pleasant one."

"I trust you still remember why?" Ishan smiled.

"Of Course."

The pair continued to walk down the gleaming runways of Iziz's spaceport, thier footsteps barely autible over the thunder that dotted the skies.

"I too, have merely come here seeking somewhat of an agenda." Ishan continued, "But all of that is in due time. Perhaps I might be able to be of some service to you in keeping whatever prospects you have here on Onderon. As you know, I will do whatever I can."

"The history of this planet is rich."

Two guards began to approach, but were met with a dismissing hand gesture from Naj. They stopped and stared for a moment, as if reluctant to obey. Apparently, Naj didnt command the respect that his Master and her brash acquaintance did. After a moment or two, one of the guards gave Naj a smirk, then quietly told his partner to step aside, effectively clearing the Half Chiss and the Falleen's path.

As they stepped out of the space port Naj leaned over.

"And the city has ears, I dont believe I need to stress the significance of that. With that being said, what brings you here?"

"Well," Ishan started off, trying to tread on safe ground, "I had heard rumors of the planet, and this city. The rumors were talking of a strong presence of the Dark Side, and I had come here hoping to find some sort of tutelage..."

The smooth skinned Falleen glanced out to the abandened look of the city.

"Tell me Naj, are there other Force users here?"

"You'll know soon enough. Like I said, this city has ears."

Naj recollected to the day he and Daria arrived. Hopefully for Ishan, things would go just a tad more smoothly.

"Until then, I dont want to raise any more eyebrows. Im heading back to my quarters. There's a shelter down this street, I would advise making use of it. This storm is shaping up to be worse than any I've seen yet."

Ishan nodded, and looked toward the sky once more before turning to make his way to the shelter.
