Shorter geared yes, more power, not according to Subaru. 13Kw less than the current WRX officially when the XT is in 2.5 litre form.

But you'll find a lot of owners and others who have seen authenticated drag strip figures doubting it. The XT is the only car that Subaru sells that does not have extensive performance figures published. Probably to hide the fact a bloody wagon blows away the sports car.
