I can't uninstall KaZaA!!

Everytime I try to it brings up an error message.


Error in C:\WINDOWS\system32\cd_clint.dll
Missing entry: Service Rundll

It says the same thing, or something similar when I want to use it. It doesn't work. It's glutting up my computer. I want it gone. Help please!!! :cry

I *did* delete it at one point, and then downloaded and installed it again because I was dying for a song or something. I can't remember why. Anyway. Now it doesn't work and I can't get rid of it.

Steps to try -

Use Adaware 6 to kill any spyware trying to stay resident

Kill any P2P programs Kazaa tries to install

Pay me $60 an hour and I'll guarenttee it's fixed :D

Seriously, it sounds like one of the nasties Kazaa bundles in with it.

edit - Yes it is. You have a problem. It's part of the CyDoor spyware package. http://www.cexx.org/cydoor.htm explains what it is and gives some info to uninstall. cydoor is a browser hijacker tool.

Lesson here kiddies - NEVER EVER install Kazaa. Use Kazaa Lite or your PC WILL get ownd.

The trick here is DONT use google to find it. Use Alltheweb.net. Google was DMCA'ed to remove links.

I found Lite using Yahoo.

And I found one using Google. I just typed in a search for "Kazaa Lite English", and used the first link they gave me.
