The day after Thanksgiving (American one), usually when big sales are, mostly X-mas shoppers getting their lists done early.
G'luck James.

Well I made it to my first break ...and all the busy-ness was this morning with our "early bird" sales. They had lines 25 people deep with only two people working this morning at 7-10 am. :x Tomorrow I get to open, but tonight I'm expecting it to be DEAD.
Nothing to do, 'cause everyone did all their shopping at 5 am and are at home eating leftover turkey/ham and sleepin' :cry

I was one of the early-bird crazies. I expected a mob, so naturally, I went shopping armed.
5:30 AM - Kohls
6:00 AM - Wal-Mart
6:20 AM - K-Mart
6:35 AM - Target
:zzz then I crashed and slept. Got a little shopping done though.

What was your total damage, Chuckles?
>_< We just had like the dinner rush, and I'm having such a bad day :cry I just wanna curl up and go home. I started this morning off with a nightmare that I can't remember and I'm just feeling all melancholy. :(

Just what I need to get back into the working spirit. My first day back at work starts in just over six hours. I loved my week off. I hate my job. :(

Could be worse Dru. Ever had to find Computer Ethics papers online to review, which are all unpublished and all post-2000? I'd switch places with you any day, providing I didn't inherit your accent ;)

That's not too bad, you bargain hunter you. We've had people drop over $500 in one go, and that's just at our store.

Black Friday for me turned out to be Black Out Friday. The electric went off most of the time and we had to close the store until it came back on!

oh I wish that had happened here. :cry I get to close the store, and I'm dealing with entering every single reciept from the day (our close-down procedures are nightmarish!)....and since we've done just about triple what we usually do I'm going to be here FOREVER. >_<
And that's if the registers balance. :x

A lot of people got hurt during the blackout cuz they couldnt see and kept tripping. Plus a lot of things were stolen.

If the power was out, then the proper term is 'looted'. Stealing is wrong, looting isnt. >D

Paramedics called to the store found VanLester unconscious on top of a DVD player, surrounded by shoppers seemingly oblivious to her, said Mark O'Keefe, a spokesman for EVAC Ambulance.
That is so....sad.
