This is kind of sad

Looks like he killed himself, maybe it was because he wasn't getting any roles any more. The guy did have some talent back in the 90's but like many child stars just vanished. Its awful that he might have took his own life.

The fact that no-one'll even notice it because of MJ is even sadder.

True. Such actors/actresses should always be mentally prepared and always have something to fall back on. Alot of people have gone through what Brandis went through and came out with flying colors. And others have not, ending in tragedy or sordid lives.

Regardless of MJ, I still wouldn't notice.

I think of two other actors that did the same thing, one of the kids from A Family Affair and Diana Platto from Different Strokes, both OD on drugs (both on purpose I think). A lot of Child actors have a rough time afterwards there have been some horror stories with some of them.

Child actors traditionally have a horrible time finding work after they've grown and their commodity has dropped. Often Hollywood will slam it's doors, neither willing to work with them on helping them make the transition from child star to an adult performer.

Yeah its a shame not many child stars make the biggest I can think of are Elizabeth Taylor, Roddy McDowell, Dean Stockwell, and Mickey Rooney. Most aren't as lucky as them though.

Ron Howard is another child star success story. He even went on to becoming one of the top living directors today. His story is quite inspirational.

And I had a crush of him when the show was on. This is indeed sad news.

I watched alot of SeaQuest. Alot. I thought one of their most ingenious characters was Dagger...Superhuman strength, and sometimes very intelligent. Lucas ( I believe was his name) was an awesome character; always talking to the Dolphin.

This is very sad news.

I just found this out today. I was like "gah...". I always thought I could bare his children. He was hot. So, this bothers me.

News reports say he hung himself, but some say OD. Maybe both. Do you even know for sure that he hung himself due to lack of work? Because I have seen him in several recent things. Small roles, yes, but still there.

I was speculating, could have been a lot of things, sometimes its hard to say why somebody would kill themselves.

Blarg, I hated that guy. He was like Joey Lawerence or something, redux.

Condolances, tho.

I never cared about the guy either way, but it always bothers me when someone so young takes their own life.
