No problem. Will you be able to get the Thanksgiving weekend up? We could just pick the Thanksgiving games first and the rest later what do you think?

OH MY GOD!!!!! RAVENS WIN IT!!!! THE RAVENS WIN IT!!!! HOLY MOLY!!!

JMK
Nov 23rd, 2003, 04:12:34 PM
Yeah I can't believe it either. I got home around 12:20 and changed it. It was looking like a crappy last minute change until about 15 minutes ago.

Ryan Pode
Nov 23rd, 2003, 04:34:37 PM
I thought it was over at halftime, but I left it on while I cleaned. They didn't show it on TV, so I was listening on the radio, I swear to god that the announcers almost had a heart attack when the ravens took it to OT.

JMK
Nov 23rd, 2003, 05:00:20 PM
I need to see the recap of that game. I nearly had a heart attack each time they flashed the out of town scores and the Ravens were inching back each time.

41-21 4th qtr --- It's over.
41-24 4th quarter---- it's still over.
41-31 few minutes left ---- should still be over.
41-38 less than a minute left --- nice try Ravens. Too little too late, the Seahawks will get the ball back.

Then I saw it come up:

41-41 OT and I nearly died. It's still not the comeback the Colts pulled on the Bucs several weeks ago on MNF, but it was awesome nonetheless.

Ryan Pode
Nov 23rd, 2003, 09:06:58 PM
Well, the Colts were running first string QB. We had in our guy with a whopping 34.2 QB rating. Thats how sexy it was.

JMK
Nov 23rd, 2003, 10:51:44 PM
The Dolphins were making me cry again...until Jay Feebler of all people comes in and potentially saves the season. Who would have guessed. :huh

Man my Chiefs won thank god, that was a close game with the Raiders I am glad they pulled it out. I was thinking that game would be a nailbitter, I knew the Raiders would be up for that game. And what happened to Denver??? I think now they won't be in the playoffs they got to play Oakland and Kansas City the next two weeks they could lose both of those games.

Figrin D'an
Nov 23rd, 2003, 11:17:27 PM
It's not so much that Denver lost... it's that the lost AT HOME TO THE BEARS!

:lol (points and laughs)

;)

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 23rd, 2003, 11:39:04 PM
LOL yeah I guess I should have emphasised that, they play at Oakland next and then KC and right now they are tied with the Ravens and Bengals at 6-5 and a game back of Miami, it isn't going to be easy for them.

JMK
Nov 24th, 2003, 08:35:04 AM
It's not going to be easy for the Dolphins either. Their next 2 games are thursday in Dallas and next Sunday in New England, which to me are both must wins. Until the Dolphins can win an important road game in December their curse will live. Gotta be the Pats in 2 weeks!

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 24th, 2003, 12:39:10 PM
They just need to win one of the next two, IMO. They might have more luck with the Cowboys especially if it is a cold snowy day up in Foxboro. I really think that wild card spot will go down to the last weekend.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 24th, 2003, 12:59:50 PM
Hey Fig how should we do this weeks games? We could just pick Thanksgiving first and then pick the others after or pick all at once, what do you think?

Ryan Pode
Nov 24th, 2003, 02:08:42 PM
Ravens have an easy-ish schedule ahead. All they need to do is win... all of them and they'll be fine.

I'm thinking that we should put the entire Week 13 slate of games up, but just make it an option to pick the Thursday games first, separate from the other games, or pick all at once. Kind of the same thing we did in Week 1, when the season opened on Thursday.

JMK
Nov 24th, 2003, 02:52:32 PM
I agree 100%. There's no reason why you guys should have to make 2 posts to show us all the games. :)

jjwr
Nov 24th, 2003, 02:53:10 PM
Fricken Dolphins, if they hadn't pulled that one out the Pats would have been pretty much guaranteed the AFC East. Admittedly they've still got a great shot but going away with it would have been nice.

Ditto on those Ravens, that 1st round pick next year was looking better and better and then they come back from 17 down.

Oh well, at least the Pats won :)

There next two games are against Indy & Miami, definetly a tough pair of games. I could see them dropping one of them, if they lose to the Colts I could see them beating Miami but if they drop the Colts I could see the phins pulling the upset.

JMK
Nov 24th, 2003, 03:51:42 PM
Yeah guy, you'd better watch out for my fish to break the December curse in Foxboro in 2 weeks! I think the division race isn't over yet....

ME-SHAUWN IS GONE!!!!! :crack

In a season where the Bucs are 1-4 at home, 4-6 heading into a Monday night game against the Giants, this is the one bright spot of the season. The loud mouth, egotistical, slow footed fool is out of Tampa. Could he have been given a more humiliating exit? Thanks Me-Shauwn, but we don't really need to put up with your mouth, your missing team flights, falling asleep at practice, missing meetings, and blatherings about not wanting to be back in Tampa next year. BUH, BYE! Joe J. is going to do just fine in your spot and you won't be missed. Go ahead and make a fool of yourself on FOX's pregame show. The team isn't crying over your absence. My favorite sign at Raymond James tonight:
"Just Give Him The Damn PINK SLIP!"

Lol Jedieb. Yeah and cool on next week picks are you going to have time to do it Figrin? If not I can do it for you.

I'll probably put the next picks thread up as soon as MNF is over and I run the totals for the week.

The end of this game is a disertation in poor clock/timeout management by both teams. :rolleyes

Wow, it's already looking like it will be a 2 horse race in this year's pool. The rest of us with less than 122 wins will have to start gambling big time to make up ground.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 24th, 2003, 11:46:22 PM
Yeah I know, me and you are neck and neck at third. How close was it last year? I know I took a big lead towards the end of the year but can't remember how big.

Figrin D'an
Nov 24th, 2003, 11:49:32 PM
There's still the playoffs, too. Given how crazy this season has been, I wouldn't be surprised if a #5 or #6 seed got all the way to a conference championship game. So, there's still a opportunity to make up ground.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 24th, 2003, 11:50:36 PM
That is true.

I dunno. If I do two better than Yog every week, I'd catch up in six weeks. If he bombed a week, could be sooner :)

JMK
Nov 25th, 2003, 09:19:59 AM
True. However we just finished week 12. That means you have weeks 13,14,15,16 & 17 to catch up. That's only 5 weeks. :P
Unless we're counting the playoffs?

jjwr
Nov 25th, 2003, 10:59:55 AM
It really doesn't take much to catch up, one bad week of getting 7 or 8 wins and you lose a huge chunk.

Yeah the Phins definetly aren't out of it yet, thats why I was annoyed the Skins blew it, that would have given the Pats a huge chance but the Phins stayed in it.

JMK
Nov 25th, 2003, 11:21:00 AM
True, one or two bad weeks can really tighten things up, unless the 2 front runners pull the equivalent of 'running out the clock'. ;)

I must have made my run about this time last year. Not sure if I can make up the big gap I have this year.
