Sunday, Early

Baltimore at Miami WIN
Atlanta at New Orleans WIN
WINNY Giants at Philadelphia
Washington at Carolina WIN
Houston at Buffalo WIN
WIN St. Louis at Chicago
WIN Kansas City at Cincinnati
Arizona at ClevelandWIN
(LoserBowl 04 Which one is more pathetic? I can't decide at the moment.)(The cards are horrid on the road. That's the only difference maker I can see.)
Jacksonville at Tennessee WIN

Sunday, Late

NY Jets at Indianapolis WIN
San Diego at Denver WIN
(I'm sooo tempted to pick a hot Flutie, but I just can't believe that Denver will lose this one at home.)
Detroit at Seattle WIN
Green Bay at Tampa Bay WIN
(The loser's season is basically over. One of them has to step up and you'd think the Bucs would do that at home. But they've both shown so many weaknesses that I doubt either one would get far in the playoffs. Oh well, there's always next year. )
WIN Minnesota at Oakland

Sunday Night

Dallas at New England WIN
(I'm saving this one for Sunday morning. If the Cowboys pull this one out they have got to be taken seriously. The Master V. the Apprentice. There's going to be a big build up to this one.)

Monday Night
WinPittsburgh at San Francisco
(It's my upset special! It's a stretch, but I hate the Niners and I want to have no mixed emotions when I watch the game. The Steelers may have righted their ship last week and the Niners did blow that game at home against Cleveland.)

What sucks is the game Sunday night is my hometown team vs. the team I grew up loving.

*sniff*

I gotta pick the hometown team though. Although I'll be rooting for the team I grew up loving.

The Cincy game worries me as a Chiefs fan, I guess I am waiting for them to lose (don't want to of course) it is just impossible to go unbeaten. I still think Denver will be the first and maybe last team to beat them Mile High has rarely been a kind place to the Chiefs.

I don't see why so many of you picked Carolina. Personally, I feel Carlonia's offense will be lackluster without Stephen Davis and I think with Spurrier out of the call making, the Skins will pull this one out.

And Bengals gonna beat the Chiefs. This is the week it happens.

Titans vs Jags

I was at the game. It was terrible. I'm surprised the Titans won, infact it almost went into overtime. There were tons of dropped passes and about 3 or 4 turnovers. The titans running game is TERRIBLE. Eddie George holds the record for # of runs 1 yard or less. But then again, he doesn't have any blockers either. They just could not open up any holes.

Typical November game, low scoring. 10-3. Everyones trying to establish their running game, and I think that might be the downfall of titans. But if they can establish that, then I think they'll go all the way =)

Which, I might add as a Chiefs fan, SUCKS! :( The part that kills me is the Chad Johnson garuntee. . .that guy. . .*grumble grumble*

Ah well, it was gonna happen sooner or later. In a 16 game schedule in the NFL, the odds of an undefeated team are ridiculously slim.

9-1. After the last few years, I'll take it. :)

I am a Chiefs fan too and sure I am not happy about it but they had to lose and I rather them lose now than in the playoffs. They should still go 14-2, they play Oakland next and they will kill that crappy team at home (I think Vermeil will chew them out all week after this which will get them motivated) then San Diego which is still not that good. Probably lose to Denver at Mile High and then beat the last three teams (Detriot, Minnesota and Chicago) I am happy with that. Also I think Minnesota is going down the toilet. It looks Green Bay could still catch them that is terrible.

LOL Yeah not for Packer fans but for the Vikings that 6-0 start looks to have been pulled off with smoke and mirrors.

Something that I just read in 1969 KC first loss was to Cincinnatti 24-19, and they won the Super Bowl that year. Maybe we got some deja vu going on here.

Syo
Nov 17th, 2003, 01:05:53 PM
Well Vermiel has taken each of his previous teams to the Superbowl in the third year of his tenure.

In 1981 he did it with the Eagles.
In 1999 he did it with the Rams.

and guess what this is his 3rd year with the Chiefs, the guy is a great coach.

And i am happy about my 12-3 performance, thats a good week.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 17th, 2003, 01:28:59 PM
Yeah he is, I am still confident they can get to the SB. One loss isn't a big deal they had to lose eventually.

But it was a good NFL weekend for me. 12-3 so far this week, The Dolphins are back in the wild card picture and the 1972 Dolphins are safe. Phew!

Does Cowher keep his job beyond this season if they don't turn it around?

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 17th, 2003, 11:13:48 PM
I think considering past success the ownership won't fire him after this season, but I bet a lot of changes are coming offensive cordinator fired, Maddox got rid of, that kind of stuff. I think Cowher has won so many games for the Steelers I can't see him getting fired after one bad season, maybe two straight bad seasons but not one.

Syo
Nov 17th, 2003, 11:25:46 PM
Yea but when was the last time Cower took them deep in the playoffs 1995. 8 years of medicore work in my opinion is worthy of a firing. In fact I think they should have done it 3-4 years ago.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 17th, 2003, 11:33:19 PM
I don't know the Rooneys are pretty loyal with their coaches they kept Noll around even when they stunk. The Steelers have had some pretty good teams recently they made it to the AFC championship game twice in the last 6 years, I know the Patriots beat them just two years ago.

The guys a jerk, one of the more annoying players in the League and his numbers aren't even that good.

I recall the game against the Colts earlier in the year, he was running his mouth on the sideline about Marvin Harrison in the 1st half. He had a few short catches, was like 5 catches for 30-40 yards early in the game and was talking about how thats he gets all his catches and yards. Basically saying all short stuff with no real skill or prowess and that he was the best receiver to come out of the draft.

I don't think he made any comments after the game when Harrison had like 10 catches - 140ish yards and 2 TD's. He wishes he was half the receiver Harrison is.

JMK
Nov 19th, 2003, 02:32:44 PM
You're right, Keyshawn wasn't a playmaker anymore. Harrison scored TD's. Keyshawn catches a few short passes a night that were probably better off being thrown to the TE anyway.
