This week... my picks come with witty comments.

Sunday, Early

Atlanta at NY Giants (W) - Even with Vick, they'd have little chance. That offensive line is horrible. Welcome to Hell, Kurt Kitner.
Arizona at Pittsburgh (W) - At some point, that patented Cowher scowl has to get his team a win.
Seattle (W) at Washington - Spurrier has thrown more visors this season than he did in his entire stint at Florida.
Tampa Bay (W) at Carolina - Win, lose, win, lose, wash, rinse, repeat... I guess that means they win this week.
Indianapolis (W) at Jacksonville - hahaha... you're kidding, right?
Houston at Cincinnati (W) - Is is possible that the Bengals will be mad after expecting to win last week?
Chicago (W) at Detroit - It's the "Draft Position" Bowl, sponsored by Hostess Cupcakes.
Miami at Tennessee (W) - Brian Griese at QB plus healthy & rested Titan defense = Uh Oh! for the Fins.
Cleveland at Kansas City (W) - Let's seen... no William Green, no Kevin Johnson, and the QB carosel is back to Kelly Holcumb. Yeah, I'm think the over-under for KC going undefeated just got a little better.

Sunday, Late

Minnesota (W) at San Diego - 1st Down: Run the ball. 2nd Down: Run the ball. 3rd Down: Attempt pass, get sacked or throw pick. Marty, your offense is more predictable than an episode of Matlock.
NY Jets (W) at Oakland - Geriatric Raiders, minus Gannon and Tuiasosopo, turn to... *snicker snicker* ... Rob Johnson?! Looks like another week of sound bytes from Charles Woodson.
Buffalo at Dallas (W) - Here's a scary statement... Quincy Carter is a better QB at the moment than Drew Bledsoe. >_<

Sunday Night

Baltimore at St. Louis (W) - So, Mike Martz... when Marshall Faulk is hurt, you give the ball to the likes of Lamar Gordon and Arlen Harris. When he's healthy, you don't give him any touches? And you're supposed to be smart? :rolleyes

Monday Night

Philadelphia at Green Bay (W) - Before the season started, this looked like a battle of NFC powers. Now, it's a battle for playoff survival. I'll still take Favre with a broken thumb over McNabb, whom is still learning about those pass catching guys called "wide receivers."

Actually its worse for the Raiders Rick Mirer is starting oh boy the Raiders stink will they win a game the rest of the way is the question.

Figrin D'an
Nov 5th, 2003, 11:45:46 PM
Yeah, but the point is, they signed Rob Johnson. He's a younger version of Jeff George, just with running ability rather than a cannon arm.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 5th, 2003, 11:48:42 PM
LOL they be better off playing Tee Martin at QB (he is there other QB) he might at least survive a game.

Jedieb
Nov 7th, 2003, 09:31:28 AM
Rob Johnson is the worst QB in the history of the universe. Years from now his name will be synonymous with crap.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to take a Rob Johnson. Where's the newspaper?"

Minnesota (W) at San Diego - 1st Down: Run the ball. 2nd Down: Run the ball. 3rd Down: Attempt pass, get sacked or throw pick. Marty, your offense is more predictable than an episode of Matlock.
Chicago (W) at Detroit - It's the "Draft Position" Bowl, sponsored by Hostess Cupcakes.

Figrin funny. Figrin make me laugh. :lol

I feel sorry for McNab though. You need decent receivers in order to throw to them. I could cover Philly's wide outs with wheelchair bound old ladies at the Corners. Okay, I'm exaggerating, they at least need walkers.

I take it your second Colts pick means that you were picking Baltimore?

I didn't see the game but how did St. Louis win?? They only had 85 total yards.

JMK
Nov 9th, 2003, 11:51:18 PM
Baltimore's offense was abyssmal. Disgraceful. They turned the ball over 7 times (I think it was 7) and nearly every turnover hurt them. Boller got hurt and Redman stinks. Jamal Lewis also fumbled twice. Still it was amazing that in the 1st quarter, Marshall Faulk had rushed for -1 yards and had 2 TD's to show for it. It was that type of game.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 9th, 2003, 11:55:06 PM
Wow I am glad I missed it that is some ugly game. I think that is why I don't like Baltimore they never play anything but ugly games especially with Redman at QB.

Jedieb
Nov 10th, 2003, 01:14:13 PM
Both defenses were great last night. The offenses were horribly inept, but the defenses did their part. Baltimore took the lead late in the game and that's when Billick's ego got the better of him I think. Instead of making the end of the game a field position battle and trusting his defense he kept letting Redman throw. INT's and fumbles followed and the Rams got the win.

JMK
Nov 10th, 2003, 01:26:36 PM
I can't remember the last time I saw that many turnover in a game. It was crazy.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 10th, 2003, 03:03:24 PM
Looks like the Ravens are in trouble now. Bollar and Shockey look to be done for the season. Talk about making the AFC North insane with Redman playing at QB the Ravens are going to be in trouble maybe the Bengals could win that division at 8-8 :p

JMK
Nov 10th, 2003, 03:08:23 PM
Can you imagine Marvin Lewis taking the Bengals from last year's train wreck to an 8-8 record and possibly a playoff spot? That would be just awesome! :lol and embarassing as hell for the other teams in that division.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 10th, 2003, 03:11:58 PM
Yeah that division sucks I am mean it shows how bad it is when Pittsburg and Cleveland at 3-6 still have a chance at the division title. Heck it wouldn't shock me to see somebody win that division at 7-9. What is worse is that there will be teams with better records that will miss the playoff and a sub .500 team might get it because of that lame division.

Ryan Pode
Nov 10th, 2003, 04:08:33 PM
:mad

Don't be hatin'. Baltimore will bounce back easily and take the division title. So bugger off.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 10th, 2003, 04:15:49 PM
Well Redman better play better than that. Actually I thought Baltimore had no problems but Bollar's injury really hurts them if Redman can't play better they will have problems.

JMK
Nov 10th, 2003, 04:27:33 PM
Redman's new game plan should be:
1st down: handoff to Lewis
2nd down: handoff to Lewis
3rd down: handoff to Lewis
repeat.

Lewis' new game plan should be:
1st down: don't fumble
2nd down: don't fumble
3rd down: don't fumble
repeat.

Of course I shouldn't have much to say with Griese's 7 turnovers in 2 games. o_O

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 10th, 2003, 04:37:17 PM
I guess Fielder will be coming back next weekend, he is defintely better than Griese.

Jedieb
Nov 10th, 2003, 09:02:46 PM
My sister has a stronger arm than Redman. No wonder Billick went with the rookie. Whoever comes out of that division is going to be first round fodder for whatever playoff team they face off against.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 10th, 2003, 09:34:03 PM
Yeah Redman is horrible I heard they were thinking about looking at their third string or looking at FA QBs out there they were talking about Neil O'Donnell, I guess he is better than Redman. What about the game tonight, what a sloppy game. GB is winning 7-0 right now but they should be up by more if they hadn't turned the ball over twice within the 40 yeard line. Also Philadelphia's offense is horrible. And it is not Mcnabb, the poor guy has no offensive line, his recievers are terrible and they are using an old favorite of Marty Schottenhiemer a running back by committe they are really struggling.

Lilaena De'Ville

6-7 I suck :x

Ace McCloud
Nov 10th, 2003, 11:15:23 PM
Man I'm so disappointed =( Great game. Thought the Packers would win it. But I gotta hand it to McNabb. Although he played like crap the whole game, he really pulled it together at the end. And Farve, man he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn tonight. Ahman Green played great. He rushed for 192 yards, a Packer Record. Heh, well it was a great game to watch, though turned out sour -_-''

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 10th, 2003, 11:15:51 PM
Good second Half. The Eagles are sure resilent, especially with Mcnabb with a great drive there at the end.

Another ugly round, course no one did overly well so it all pretty much events out.

I'm personally rooting against the Ravens this year, nothing personal but the Pats have their 1st round draft pick so the worse they do the better Pick the Pats get. And with luck it'll be low enough that they can finally get a decent RB which is what they desperately need!

Next year the Pats will have a lethal receiving corp of 2nd/3rd speedsters, throw in Brown and hopefully a stud rookie RB to go along with their revamped defense and the Pats should be contenders for at least the next few years.

JMK
Nov 11th, 2003, 09:32:47 AM
If things continue for the Dolphins the way they are going, and they fail to make the AFC championship game, or worse, fail to make the playoffs entirely then Wannstedt is done and I think a rebuilding process will start. Dump the high priced guys and start taking on draft picks.

jjwr
Nov 11th, 2003, 12:20:39 PM
If they continue their slide I can't see Wandstedt coming back next year, I'm really suprised he was kept around thing long. With all of the high priced players they have it will be tough to justify the salaries on a rebuilding team, Jason Taylor, Madison/Surtain and Williams for starters. I can't imagine those players staying happy playing on a 5 or 6 win team in a rebuilding year or two. What they need is to groom a QB of the future, they have Sage Rosenfels but I don't know if he's actually shown anything to warrant that sort of designation.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 11th, 2003, 12:29:09 PM
They could draft one Eli Manning and White from OU both look like very good QBs.

JMK
Nov 11th, 2003, 03:08:08 PM
I hope they don't rebuild. They've got a TON of talent there. They need to address the problems on the offensive line and the quarter back weakness. But above all Wannstedt has to go. Nice guy, but that don't mean jack. As the Bears head coach his track record only declined as his tenure went on until Chicago is in the shambles they're in now. Miami's record is slowly heading south, and the players are starting to point fingers at each other. This is not good.

Jedi Master Carr
Nov 11th, 2003, 09:48:58 PM
You got a chance against Baltimore they are starting their 3rd QB Wright who has never played in the NFL. Says a lot for Redmen hey, heck he is now third string they brough in Lucas to be their backup I bet he will be starting soon once he gets use to the offense.
