What madness over came Sega to make them do this (http://www.1up.com/article2/0,4364,1371519,00.asp)? Why must you ruin Golden Axe?

It looks like Golden Axe for Genesis, only uglier.

I loved Golden Axe. It was the best sidescroller, second only to Streets of Rage.

Why must they ruin a CLASIC game like Golden Axe!

That's a pretty awful review, but I'll wait till I actually play it before I bash it. He's just one guy who may be bent because it's not exactly the way he remembers it. Maybe it is half decent and he's just forgotten how to play straight forward side scrollers and have fun with them.
He's living with the memory of having the actual arcade game in his house as a kid, and most of us tend to believe the stuff we had as a kid is, and always will be the best.

Because it is! :D

I know what you mean though :) I suppose we will have to wait and see, but I don't have high hopes.

You never know, you may be pleasantly suprised.

Ugh, this had better not happen to Final Fight or Streets of Rage. That would be a travesty of untold proportions.

Yes, Golden Axe was an awesome game. It was simple and fun, and was four-player in the arcade. I'll still drop a few quarters in it when I see it.
