I'm a member of starwarsrpg.net, and have been for over a year. I've been throwing around some ideas with other members about the possibility of moving the characters to fans en mass, through some kind of roleplay. We basically think it's come to this because our community is dying - the amount of posts per day is pathetic in comparison to this board.
Understandably, many of us would not want to take the matter any further if each character's rank comes into question. For example if a Knight decides to make the move, would he have to begin again as an Apprentice?
I'd appreciate it if you kept this matter low-key for now, as the general discussion has been conducted over IM and away from boards.

www.starwarsrpg.net's founding members originally left our site to start their own community about a year ago. What you are proposing is something that would need to be discussed with our community enmasse. Even though you have concerns I suggest an OOC topic. It is not something I would decide on my own. (rank issues)
