www.mozilla.org for all of your Gecko based browser needs. ;)

I reccomend the Tabbed Browser Extensions (http://texturizer.net/firebird/extensions/#Tabbrowser%20Extensions) for better tab stuff. Autoscroll is built into .7

iTunes (http://akamaidownload.apple.com/530x3824/akform.html) for Windows is out, if you want yet another MP3 player. Like Quicktime, its bloated, IMO. It uses 30 megs of memory bare versus about 5 for Winamp 2.x. Alternative format (MPC, FLAC, APE, Ogg) support is also sparse, but for most people that doesn't matter.

However, some people like MusicMatch Jukebox :huh so this could be for those folk.

For those interested getting into 3D modelling, Maya 5 is now out. The personal edition is free to download:

And for those folks who like Opera as a browser, final version 7.21 was recently launched. I have only used it for a while, but allready find it more stable than the betas:

Edit: I installed it winamp 5, with bells and whistles. The memory print is increased, but its within tolerable levels IMO. CPU usage seems unchanged. Nice skins :)

I've been using it for about 30 minutes. I'm using the classic skin because I don't like the one included. So far its fantastic.

Edit: Yog, switch to the classic skin, watch the memory use vaporize (between 1.5 and 3 megs). Its really incredible. I'm using MMD3 for Winamp 3, which uses about 7 megs, but the windowshade mode for this skin is so rad.

You're right. Switching to 2.x skins makes the memory usage drop like a rock. Thats great :)

I've had Mozilla for a while. It works, but my room mates won't use it for some reason and I get pop ups anyways for some reason.

....It's possible to get popups while using Firebird? I forgot what a pop-up ad looks like.

Or were you using mozilla without the popup stopper? ...or.. something? o_O

Depending upon the version, there's an option that you must uncheck/check that will prevent pop-up scripts from running. Just dig around in the preferences and you should find it.

On the one I have, if I get a pop-up, I just right click in the ad, and hit "Reject all ads from this source". That normally works for me. :)

I kind of like the "modern" skin it comes packaged with, and I can afford the extra memory usage. :)
