The Denver/Minnesota game is going to be the game of the week.

About that Denver/Minnesota game you might want to change your picks, if you picked Denver, Plummer won't play. He actually won't play for 3-5 weeks he broke a bone in his foot. I don't think they can beat Minnesota in Minnesota with Steve Beurline.

Kansas needs to lose. It be funny if the Raiders do it. Because I know they can, as Kansas has won most of its games off of Dante Hall.

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 18th, 2003, 11:05:30 AM
Why do you want Kansas City to lose??? Dante Hall hasn't been the only reason he didn't win that GB game that was mostly Trent Green. I don't see the Raiders winning they look horrible right now they couldn't beat the bears and they only beat the Chargers (the worst team in the NFL) because they blew the game. Plus they are really banged up three of their offense lineman won't play 3 players on their defense won't play. And age has caught up the recievers they are too slow now and without Porter they have no deep threat.

Let the record show that, for the first time over the two seasons that we have been making NFL picks, I'm picking against the Packers.

Ryan Pode

They've won a few games from Dante... i.e against the Ravens... They (Chiefs) can still go 6-10.

That's pretty much wishful thinking. I can see them losing at Denver, and a couple of other games, but 13-3 or 12-4 seems very plausable for KC at this point.

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 18th, 2003, 11:44:32 PM
6-10??? What are you smoking, they are 6-0 now they won't lose 10 straight that would be very hard, you think awful Cincinnati, Detroit, Chicago and San Diego will beat them??? At worst they will go 10-6, most likely 12-4 or 13-3, IMO.

It backs up my contention that there is a lot of really bad football being played all around the league, though.

This was an incredible week for upsets. The Bucs were soundly beaten by SF. They commited way too many turnovers and SF did just enough on offense to win. The Cowboys were rather impressive today. This sets up an interesting game next week between Tampa and Dallas. Despite the Cowboys great start, people have been assuming they would start to drop games once they reached this next part of their schedule. If they beat Tampa next week people are going to have to start taking them seriously.

Tenn. looked GREAT today. As good as Carolina's defense has been, they're ranked in the upper 20's for pass defense and McNair exploited that today.

And the most important stat of the day? I made up 2 games on the DEMON! I'M COMING FOR YOU DEMON!!!! :shootin

And what about the wacky AFC North I mean you got the Ravens at 3-3, Steelers, Browns, and Bengals all tied at 2-4, what the heck is going on there??? Denver is now down to Danny Kanell at QB with games against Baltimore and New England coming up they could be 5-4 real quick.

Ryan Pode
Oct 19th, 2003, 08:42:22 PM
Denver will lose next week. Ravens lost not because of Boller really (now that I watched my tape of the game), but because of penalties on defense, probably because they thought it be a walk in the park. So next week, if I were a Denver fan, I'd be scared.

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 19th, 2003, 08:52:32 PM
With Danny Kannell at QB I be very scared, that guy has twice the amount of INTs to TDs.

And the Pats won, 5-2 and on a roll.

Jedi Master Carr

Hey that is against my team it is not over yet:p most of my team are KC's players and they play tonight so who knows I could come back.

Ace McCloud
Oct 20th, 2003, 01:06:13 PM
Oh man, the Packers lost again. Anybody watch that game? That was so bad. The only other game I watched was the Titans, atleast they kicked butt. Carolina hasnt had anyone score on them all year, and they scored 17 points =) I think McNair is ranked #1 for passing yards or completions. But he has to be, George sucks a big one.

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 20th, 2003, 02:24:14 PM
I think the Packers were down after that heartbreaking loss to KC last week. Plus St. Louis seems to play great at home, if they can play better on the Road they could make the playoffs.

Ace McCloud
Oct 20th, 2003, 10:03:22 PM
terrible terrible week for me, 7 and 7. Sigh.

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 20th, 2003, 10:28:46 PM
What a game I am glad KC won, whew, man one yard short, really the QB screwed up by not spiking the ball that was really stupid. I have to say this is the kind of game KC would have lost last year.

Ace McCloud
Oct 20th, 2003, 10:30:36 PM
yea it was a great game. I didnt think they would come back that close. I feel bad for the Raiders though. Trying to win with that fake spike. O well. Good luck next time Oakland.

They actually played better after Gannon got hurt, they did nothing in the first half. I think that young QB was more mobile which messed up the Chiefs defense strategy (they were planing to face a slow Gannon) Also that Buchanon really hurt them with that muffed punt return.

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 20th, 2003, 10:42:36 PM
Also I wasn't really surprised it was close I though Oakland would come out and play the best game they have played all season, one it is their archrival and second there season was on the line they need to win that game to have any chance at the division. Now they have next to none with KC having a 5 game lead on them, heck KC might run away with that division now if Denver spirals down the tubes the next two weeks they could be up 4 games with 7 remaining.

JMK
Oct 21st, 2003, 09:19:01 AM
It's amazing how bad the Raiders have become in so short a time. It's almost laughable!

No wait. It IS laughable! :lol

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 21st, 2003, 11:12:43 AM
They might really go down the tubes now, I think they played really hard Monday night because they saw it as a last fight now things could sprial out of control. Really they should just play that young QB the rest of the year and think about rebuidling, though I don't think that will happen.

Ryan Pode
Oct 21st, 2003, 05:27:34 PM
I told ya, Raiders went from experienced to just plain old.

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 21st, 2003, 08:21:45 PM
Their defense doesn't look that bad, it is more there offense it looks pathetic.

Lilaena De'Ville
Oct 21st, 2003, 08:41:55 PM
Jerry Rice is still da man. Unfortunately, the 49ers should have never let him get away. :mad

Figrin D'an
Oct 21st, 2003, 09:09:18 PM
If the Raiders are forced to play Tuiasosopo for significant time this season, I will expect some major house cleaning to be done at season's end. The Raiders will begin the rebuilding process, and you'll see Rice, Brown, Gannon and Rod Woodson, among other, all leave or be given their walking papers. Expect Oakland to go for a WR or a QB (depending upon how well Tuiasosopo plays) in the first round of the '04 draft.

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 21st, 2003, 09:09:48 PM
Really Rice should retire, why is he playing??? He has every record has won 4 SBs there is no reason, IMO to keep playing. I am sure he will retire after this horrendous season

JMK
Oct 21st, 2003, 09:59:33 PM
Champs like Rice never want to end their careers in a losing season though. I would think he'd hook up with a contending team for a cheap one year deal and try to at least call it quits with a winning team. Maybe Rice and Moss on the same team for one season in '04? Or alongside Donald Driver in GB?

Ryan Pode
Oct 22nd, 2003, 05:25:31 PM
We could use a wide-reciever that can catch in baltimore.
