I've juust played the demo for like 3 hours. And its brilliant. Its basically The Sims in space, but I think its a lot more fun. You've got to manage a planetary base, with things like cleaning up, gathering food, mining argon gas and crystals for building materials etc. Plus, you can build robots to carry out jobs like work in radioactive environments and guard areas. There's also the added dangers of alien pests and more nasty types.
The demo's got a basic tutorial and at least 3 playable levels (I've only gotten that far, not sure if there's more.)
Like the site says, if youlike The Sims and sci-fi, you'll LOVE Space Colony.
