I'm probably going to change some of these. I hate picking the Niners over Detroit. I'd like nothing better than to see Mooch get his revenge over SF. The ensuing SF implosion would be a joy to watch. But I just don't think the Lions are going to be able to beat a SF team that's coming off one its most humiliating defeats. And sorry Fin fans, I'm taking Miami on the road. You guys are DOOMED.

I'm pumped to see the Denver/KC game.. whew, that one should be good..

Being a Denver fan for as long as I can remember, of course I'd have to go for my team.. But dang, KC has been looking purdy sharp this season..

I'm going with the Broncos as well. I really like KC, but after watching them both play I think right now Denver may be the better team. This should really be a good game. Hopefully it'll come down to the 4th quarter and give everybody a good show.

With 2 potent offenses, watch it end up being a 17-14 game. That would suck. Don't get me wrong, I like a good defensive battle, but when you get 2 teams that can light it up like these 2 can, I want to see scoring!

Nobody has faith in my Chiefs :p I think KC will win because its in Arrowhead they are very tough to beat there, also Portis might not play if he doesn't play Denver can't win.

I forgot about Portis. Plummer really needs him to be effective. Without him I don't see how Denver could win this road game. Their offense looked sluggish last week at home without him. At Arrowhead they need all of their weapons. I'll switch my pick as well if Portis doesn't start.

Some tough picks this week... Denver/KC is a toss-up, though I picked the Chiefs simply because the game is at Arrowhead. Detriot/San Fran will be interesting to watch.

Watershed game for Green Bay this week. If they win, I'll give the Packers have a chance against their tougher foes coming later this season. If not, I think they'll be lucky to finish at .500 on the season. It's all about momentum and building confidence, which they need to have success in the coming weeks. Seattle is playing well, and is undefeated. A win over the Seahawks would be huge at this point.

I'm not waiting anymore, I switched to a KC win. Portis is still questionable, which to me means he can't be feeling great. So even if he does play, he's certainly not 100%, plus the Chiefs are at home. If this pick explodes in my face, so be it.:)

That Denver-KC game was WAY too close for comfort. Though I'm glad I switched to the Chiefs. :lol

Figrin D'an

Denver probably should have won. They outplayed KC for 3+ quarters and had 200 yards more offense than did the Chiefs. But, enter Dante Hall to save the day once again.

Kansas City/Green Bay at Lambeau next Sunday is going to be very interesting, especially since the Packers completely dominated Seattle today.

It's amazing how a guy who's not on the field so much has affected the landscape of the AFC so far. What is that? 6 weeks in a row now?

Darth Havok

I know he (hall) now has made a TD from a return in 4 straight games now.. Which tied an NFL record set in like 1979 or something.. By a bronco nontheless.. heh.

My opinion of the Denver/KC game shadows that of Frigins.. Denver had them, but Hall stole the show..

Okay, now you're passing up a potential sexual encounter because of team loyalty. That's just SICK!!!

Well, the Denver/KC game was the tough pick of the week. Denver had them on the ropes but once again Hall saved KC. As the season progresses KC can't rely on him to score a TD, but they don't really have to. He can have an impact on just about every game because he can effect field position. Plus, teams are going to have to spend extra time during the week before a KC game worrying about their punt and kickoff coverage. He's going to have a huge impact for them this season. He reminds me a great deal of Brian Mitchell (in his prime.) He may even be better.

Okay, can we now say that the Raiders are DONE? To get beat by a Bears team that was being called the worst in the league after last Monday night's beating by the Packers may be the final nail in the coffin. Sure, there's a lot of games left to play, but Oakland doesn't look like it's in any condition to challenge KC and Denver for the division title. They also don't look like they're in any shape to make a run at the WC spots.

Tomorrow is just going to be a HUGE game. The Colts don't have to win to make a statement. Just show up and play a solid game. If they lose a close one they can show they're for real. Of course I'm picking the Bucs, but I would really like to see class acts like Dungy, Manning, and Harrison put up a good showing.

That was a pretty impressive road victory for the Browns and Couch. Man, the Steelers are really inconsistent. I was pretty surprised at how effective the Browns' offense was against them. I think the Steelers may be in for a long season.

Jedi Master Carr

I changed my pick with the Bears, I had them for an upset but I changed my mind, stupid me. About KC well they find ways to win which I like sure Den moved up and down the field but they only scored 23 points that is not enough to win a game against Kansas City. Really I hope Green and the passing game gets going. Gonzales played better this week finally getting a TD but they need more than just that. I think the passing game will get better. For the Raiders I am so happy I am glad they are falling apart :p I hope KC rips them up on monday night in two weeks. And what happened to Pittsburg??? That division looks awful I could see Pittsburg or Baltimor winning that division at 8-8 at this point.

4 unbeatens left (could be three after tomorrow) and 3 of those teams Carolina, KC, and Minnesota most but die hard fans would have never had predicted. KC is 5- for the first time ever. That is amazing. About Dallas, well two of those wins came against the hapeless, Cardinals and awful Jets, I will wait until they beat a few more teams. Right now I think they might finish 8-8 which would be unbelievable still.

Figrin D'an
Oct 5th, 2003, 11:31:54 PM
Parcells is doing a great job with the Cowboys, but I think that Philly will re-assert itself a little, and with Washington playing reasonably well, the NFC East will come down to the Eagles and Redskins. The Giants are an enigma at this point... they have a lot of offensive firepower, but they seem to go from looking awesome to looking like garbage in the span of 1 quarter.

Tampa Bay should still win the NFC South, but Carolina has a great shot a wild card spot if they keep playing well.

With Chicago getting a win, the "Worst Team in the League" mantle can be squarely placed on the San Diego Chargers. I mean, how bad are you when you lose to Jacksonville with a rookie QB at the helm and to the geriatric Oakland Raiders in back-to-back weeks? They have a great running back, a solid QB and a couple of pretty good receivers, but good lord is that defense bad. Marty is going to have to turn it around soon, or he's gonna be out of a job at the end of the season.

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 5th, 2003, 11:47:58 PM
Marty should be out of a job he can't coach anymore he is still in his old style which I don't think works anymore.

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 6th, 2003, 10:33:25 PM
The Colts came back, unbelievable. They were down by 21 points with 4 minutes to go and they score 21 points to tie it up and go into OT. Manning was huge that pass towards the end of the 4th quarter was amazing he has a cannon on him.

Figrin D'an
Oct 6th, 2003, 10:34:08 PM
Wow...

The Colts stock just jumped about a billion points. I don't care if the Bucs defense was tired. Nobody is supposed to be able to do that against them.

Even if Tampa Bay wins in OT, the Colts have proved they're a force this year.

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 6th, 2003, 11:01:41 PM
The Colts won on a weird call, and then a donk FG that has to be one of the greatest comebacks ever. And a lot of it goes credit to Manning and Marvin Harrison what a game those two had.

Jedieb
Oct 6th, 2003, 11:08:13 PM
No, no, no, the credit goes to MeShauwn Johnson. Remember the Monday night game 2 years ago, Jets V. Bucs? The one where MeShauwn made his infamous 'Stars' V. 'Flashlights' comment? Then he proceded to lay an egg with only 1 catch and Crebet came up with the game winner. Well MeShauwn did it tonight. He was miked up and decided to run his mouth off by taking shots at Marvin Harrison. You can see why he did, he and Harrison are very different. One's fast, one isn't. One's classy, one isn't. One sets NFL records every other season, the other DOESN'T. And in crunch time, one was making play after play, and the other was on the sideline with a thigh bruise. I'm going to kill MeShauwn. Right after I hunt Yoghurt down!

Credit to Manning, Harrison, Dungy and the rest of the Colts. Great comeback. :cry

Jedi Master Carr
Oct 6th, 2003, 11:12:36 PM
LOL yeah that was stupid of him why was he ragging on one of the greatest recievers in the game. Also I am glad I have him on my fantasy team :p And I need to go with Manning from now on Wow, (I have Green instead of him) his numbers have been great lately, I just glad I have been winning without using him.

JMK
Oct 6th, 2003, 11:20:44 PM
Man, give the Colts all kinds of credit. Is there anyone that would have predicted a comeback like that against that defense? Weird, questionable calls in overtime aside, the Bucs had no business blowing a lead like that, but the Colts showed what they're made of.
