The only reason I wanted to let it stay around was because it was a good garbage collector. On the whole its devoid of any sort of content and I'm all for flushing it.

That's true that it did tend to be a good collector of random spam and sillyness. But, after nearly reaching 7000 posts, it's a little bit of a nuisance for the server to handle.

I'd agree that it needs to be flushed.

I deleted it. It took a full 2 minutes (!) before the thread was gone. I can see how that thing was taxing for the server.. :rolleyes

Deleting that topic has decreased the render time for the main form index by approximately .097 seconds, which is a very big difference, considering the render time is now .47 seconds total instead of the .5+ it was doing with it around, and the average server load numbers are lower now too.
